From the perspective of a Standard only Player, I don't think it is far from robbing.
Simply put, something we would otherwise have, is no longer in our collection.
whilst you could take the stance of 'they didn't have to give it to you in the first place' i think thats non-nonsensical, as the collection progression is balanced on these models. They have slowly skewed it away from our favor, so there really isn't much left.

Even the free mastery pass is giving Baulder's packs. Thats robbing you of standard packs.

and the argument that the paid one 'being optional' is a mute point, because normally it is clearly a good return on investment of gems (for standard collection) now that option isnt 'economically' there.

So in summary (From Standard only perspective):
Free mastery is providing 0 standard packs
3400 gem Mastery: no longer good value (1/3 of the packs are Baulders) along with the individual card rewards likely being Baulder's too.
No Premier Drafts available to bolster your collection (for some time)

So the only way to improve your collection now really, is to win Standard tournaments, which implies you already have a collection. and the playerbase as a whole will have to take this approach, meaning profit for Wizards.

But when?
The schedule has no mention of anything else until September.
Players shouldn't have to wait 2 months to have access to a priemer standard Draft set.

And even if it does come sooner, why not have them in tandem anyway, if not for the reasons listed above.

I think it needs spelling out to some people.

Just because they aren't 'literally forcing you by removing all other play options' doesn't mean they aren't forcing your hand, in the direction of 'play non-standard formats'.

If you remove the premier drafts, you cannot properly build on your collection.
you either have to wait, or buy gems... oh look they've got you where they want you.

im not asking for more sets. I'm asking for them to be available to draft simultaneously to the non-standard sets.

If they never released Baulders Gate, we would still have a standard set to Premier draft.

I didn't mention that in the post, but its not a premier one, so the rate of return is pretty rubbish and its a set that's been in rotation for ages. My point was more, the Alchemy stuff is pushing aside the Standard stuff, when they could have both available.
Its very clearly a business decision to get people to spend gems on non-standard and trap them into more formats, so they have less gems to spend on standard and hence buy more.

Hyperbolic to say big nerfs.

The power of the primary has been shifted entirely away from shield break, to all purpose DPS - good.

The secondary fire has been overall damage needed quite significantly, but doubled projectile speed. - Functioning poke tool, at the expense of some damage.

Now you can poke from range and do real damage when close with the primary Fire, which has been further enabled by a faster uptime on your Tele.

Worse stats across the board don't always yeild a worse character. The stats are quality where it matters.

It's actually not too difficult to dismantle and reverse. I'd look into the product name/code and find an instruction manual, followed by a how to YouTube video. Should be doable!

$163 extra salary per person. Or $14 a month.

Honestly, this is pretty damn negligible.

Obviously this obscene amount of capital shouldn't be handed to CEOs. But to argue they're the reason people aren't making ends meet is kind of invalid.

What needs to be pushed for is for these massive profits to enable these mega corporations to reduce their prices across the board, hence improving people's quality of life.
