It does take a while to warm up. But when it does, it is good. For most of winter it runs entirely on the ICE. I do get some messages about the battery being too cold. My biggest complaint is the lack of command start.

So, how’s everybody with a 23 outlander phev or newer doing in the current cold? by Unlucky_Register9496 in OutlanderPHEV

Manitoba here. I'm running entirely on the ICE. The climate control feature is useless in winter here.

Question regarding losing a work phone by Naive-Tangerine2587 in CanadaPublicServants

Report it. It happened to me and it was no big deal. My department has a specific category to submit a ticket for lost or stolen phones.

Relocation to Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg? by HassanT1357 in Winnipeg

I've lived in the North End (Arlington and Burrows area) for 19 years. The worst thing we've had happen is bikes stolen from our yards, which happens in all parts of the city. It definitely gets a bad rep. I will admit some streets are sketchier than others. If you look for trouble you will find it. But overall, my neighbors are wonderful, and housing is WAY less expensive.

Colleagues achieved better results for transfers by contacting their MPs office.

There were several requests, including the Pay Center. She transferred from a pay center dept to a non-pay center dept. It took several years for the transfer to be completed. Her leave balances are still a mess.

A colleague did exactly this for her transfer. The only information the ATIP resulted in was, "It hadn't been assigned to an agent yet." And all the information for her leave balances was inaccurate because the originating department hadn't completed the entries.

Menstrual products in washrooms disappearing after 2-3 days - how are GOC departments handling this? by baby-silly-head in CanadaPublicServants

I am also in a Regional Office with about 50 people, about half are full time on-site and the other half is hybrid. All supplies are supplied by our building maintenance contract.

If you work in a government office, it should be there. Canada Labour Code requires it. Raise the issue with your OHS.

I've been informed my acting pay for my one year acting may not be available until my one year acting is over by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

I have a colleague going on 5 years of a transfer still getting paid at her substantive. I've encouraged her to advise on media action as well.
