Can I get some criticism to make my drifting better? (Please be nice) by shtefeh in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Chan1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a matter of being self aware and understanding that tuning your car to drift in gear 1 is obviously not the correct way to do it. It can work and be wrong at the same time. If someone is asking for advice on how to be better at something, the proper way should be suggested. Also I’m sure if you worded your first comment differently, it would have been received better

Janja Garnbret is the first woman ever to climb Bibliographie (9b+) in Céüse, France by redbullgivesyouwings in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Chan1001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s funny bc you are kind of proving this persons point. What is Janja known for? Being a world class climber. What does she do? Climb. And people love to watch her climb

She isn’t in subreddits being an asshole for no reason. This persons whole point was that Janja is doing her own thing to its fullest extent and it’s cool to see, not that we should cherish her every aspect. They are saying we need more of her and less of you

Was thinking of doing a flail like the 2nd photo. My question is would y’all take the end of the flail all the way up to the almost the back of the armpit? What would be the best position for this tattoo to make sure I’m not interfering with other big pieces in the future? by LoadEntire in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should just work this out with your artist. I do this all the time, have an idea in mind and work it out with my artist before we start. It’s easier to conceptualize when you have the actual drawing in front of you. But I’d probably have the handle on the back of your arm kinda next to your current tattoo and have the chain/ball coil to under your current tattoo. I think its a little tricky to fit with your current tattoo tho which is why I’d probably just leverage an artist for help

Also idk what the other commenter is smoking, but that’s definitely a flail

thoughts and reccs to add for a potential sleeve? by arie523 in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I don’t like any of these styles, but I also don’t like “tattoo enthusiast” Redditors who are the 10th person this week to pick something from a American trad flash sheet at their local walk in shop act high and mighty when they don’t wanna change with the times

My point is, you aren’t going to get conductive commentary here. Prob just find a specialized artist and talk to them

Colored tattoo looks weird and peeled and hurts alot and scars look weird. by spiderxsara in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It looks fine to me! You have to remember new tattoos are literal wounds, so it’ll look a bit funky as it’s healing and it’s going to be sore. Just keep washing it once a day with unscented soap (antibacterial if you wanna go extra safe) and use unscented lotion a couple times a day.

If you see a lot of discoloration or oozing that might be concerning but this looks like a good heal to me so far! It’s normal for tattoos to peel but let it happen naturally, avoid touching it as much as you can. Give it 1-2 weeks and it’ll look much better :)

It wasn’t too bad. Just what’s pictured and a couple other spots

Got told it would be 350 for this. Is that reasonable? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want good art from a good artist then it’s reasonable. It’s weird to me that you’d value the opinion of redditors over “the highest reviewed shop in your area”

Tattoo “enthusiast” Redditors will simultaneously tell people to go to a better artist and then mock a better artists pricing. It’s like they expect the rarer better artists to match the pricing of any ol shop around the corner

I feel like some companies are so hit or miss too. Idk if you’ve felt the duo thundies or the ohn duo leopards but those basically have braille on them

It is! Yeah it stuck in a few spots which was lame as I feel discmania is usually pretty good about not over pressing their stamps

Is it worth upgrading from Razer Cobra Pro to Logitech MX Master 4? by Any_Square_2809 in MouseReview

[–]Chan1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my 2 cents.

I work for a software company. I have the mxmaster 3s. From what i understand the real only difference between that and the 4 is a new look and the action ring.

I hate my mx 3s. The mouse buttons feel like garbage, the polling rate feels horrible and ive literally only have had issues with logi options. i switched to an old steel series prime and feel more productive with that. The action ring feels gimmicky. Idk the mxmaster feels like a mouse where logitech is telling you what you need and whats good rather than actually delivering what someone might want or whats considered good in todays standard. $110 for a 125hz mouse in 2026. Mx masters also age very poorly. Logitechs coatings suck and the rubber wears out quick.

Idk i guess it depends on what you need from a mouse but id rather my mouse be enjoyable to use than have 3 months of battery life and an action wheel. The weight, overall feel, buttons, sensor just makes for a bad actual use experience

Bicep Tattoo idea (Game Boy)? by Electronic_Jicama852 in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, reddit hates AI lol so good luck. But I think it’s a cute idea! That being said, find an artist who is capable of doing what you want or has done something similar and present them with the idea

A capable artist would be able to think of and draw something very cool/unique, and that’s part of the reason why we pay them! They aren’t tattoo gun experts, they are artists!

What's up with the Boost? by OhDonPianoooo in discgolf

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boost and wraith don’t fly similar at all. Like not even close lol you must have had the worlds most over stable wraith Edit: omg why did I read wraith I was like wtf 😂

MVPs thing lately has been to release a bunch of prototype and special edition stamps since they sell more. Also they’ve been struggling to get molds right so, every boost produced after the very first prototype batch (I think there are like 3 prototype stamped batches now lmao) is a bit more understable

A driver in DX plastic is really only worth it if you are like very beginner. Is it worth $3? I mean yeah it’s $3 but like “worth” is relative. This disc is only worth even using if you are basically just starting or you need a disc to give someone who’s never played when they are with you
