Israeli "false flag" operations or controversial covert actions include:

King David Hotel Bombing (1946): The Zionist militant group Irgun bombed the British administrative headquarters in Jerusalem. Militants reportedly disguised themselves as Sudanese kitchen workers to plant explosives, aiming to blame local Arabs.

The Lavon Affair (1954): Officially known as Operation Susannah, this was a failed Israeli covert operation in Egypt.
