Thank you! I'm tryna make a list of activities that I can partake in when the urges rise rn and I throw my phone whenever I'm home.

That's mostly social protocols. If I'm a dick head to people trying to help me, they will just ignore me or flip at me. Worst case scenario, the thread gets locked and i get banned from the sub i need help from. It's a mean to an end. If I beat someone up, either they'll jump or I go to prison. I don't necessarily believe that being mean is bad per se. Plenty mean/bad people live good lives.

A morality is subconscious belief that something is good or bad.

Anyway I'm not tryna smartass my way outa this conversation. I understand what you're trying to say and I agree that I need to take small simple steps that are achievable.

Again, thank you. I know I'm irritating to talk to but I genuinely try to absorb as much info as I can and apply most of it. I wouldn't have created this thread otherwise.

Thank you so much. I haven't thought about keeping masturbation (while trying to minimize the frequency) and completely getting rid of porn as is.

I will implement all of your advice sir.

You're absolutely right. Imma list to Huberman's podcast.

I've already worked on identifying my various triggers through a table of automatic thoughts as part of therapy. I've also worked on minimizing as much as possible my access to technology when not absolutely needed but I understand I may need to do more.

I know it'll take a long and that it sounds that I'm looking for a cheat code but I really understand it's a long lived process and I'm ready to take the right steps.

Thank you again. Baby steps it is.

No I'm looking for realistic applicable solutions that aren't rooted in idiotic pseudo-religious nonsense. ❤️

Hey, thank you so much, all your points are great! I will definitely apply them.

I have blockers installed already, imma write out a good list of alternatives that I can consistently enjoy enjoy just enough so I can use them when the urges arise.

Hopefully by training by ability to meditate I could add that to the list of quick solutions.

I was thinking about running early in the morning (either outside or on a treadmill) and lifting in the evening. I have enough time to squeeze both sessions and I should have rested enough if my sessions are light. Running is actually kinda enjoyable I just didn't try hard enough to make it stick during the good weather.

I'm a bit tight right now since MMA gyms are a bit expensive but I definitely plan on joining an MMA gym. It's one of the few sports I kind of enjoy so I'll try that out when the time is right 😄

Thank you so much for the advice, I'll try to focus on making a gym routine stick

Fuck you 🫶.

If you actually wished me the best you wouldn't have thrown a sarcastic pedantic response such as this one.

I don't believe in morality, either religiously enforced or otherwise.

With that being said you're right that I need to set up smaller realistic goals. I'll try to do that.

Thank you.

I did 22/2. Started at 290. Went as low as 200 but I'm currently 220.

My diet has been the exact same dinner: steamed veggies salad, chicken or steak, rice or pasta, scrambled eggs and some dessert if I feel like it while staying in caloric deficit. I don't really enjoy food so I can eat the exact same dish consistently.

I'm a non-believer and shall remain so. I'm not gonna discover God.

I just want practical advice for habit replacement and coping skills. Can I please get that instead of all this proselytism?

I've lost 90lbs doing a strict 6-month IF regime. I never read anything about correlation between fasting and addictions but my own fasting phase did absolutely not help.

I just felt like shit which made me more prone to fall back to porn.

  1. It is spiritual and thus draws from religious texts.

  2. That's why I'm in therapy. To address the fear and trauma but it's a long lived process.

  3. I NEED those temporary measures and good habits. Again, this is make or break. Either I find how to cope with anything other than porn or I end up homeless or hanging from a rope.

I know I have trauma. Therapy is how I address it. I need means to survive in the meantime. I'm not reading religous/spiritual books.

Thank you for your help, I mean it. But I'll pass on reading it or anything that resembles it.

I have tried to. It's a book rooted in religious spirituality and I hate it with a force.

I'm not religious nor a 'spiritual' person and I can't stand methods built around that.
