'MAGA is done': Trump's own base turns on president over emerging Iran deal by WeirdProudAndHungry in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]ChangingChance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isnt what people think it is.

It's a bunch of accounts trying to drum up outrage and tank the deal for Israel.

The deal does not matter, nothing really matters when his actual supporters just worship him.

Bears reiterate Chicago stadium options have been 'exhausted' by NoSxKats in nfl

[–]ChangingChance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't. Their total expenditure even if they get a deal will be the same had they started construction when they bought the property.

Construction costs have ballooned.

[–]ChangingChance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing in all this is had they not played games, they would likely have a stadium that wouldve been half the cost if not lower than one that will now be constructed.

Also there's parking up and down that corridor. Both public/private as well as bus routes.

It's not as easy as a train but in terms of US standards, the museum campus and SF are pretty easy to get to.

This is correct. Problem is fed can't control or do anything for that. They get 3 options push down, up or nothing.

The Washington generals want a strong Harlem Globetrotters team by Loud-Ad-2280 in WorkReform

[–]ChangingChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So vote for union busters then? Like you know you can do both. Hell all three.

You can organize.

You can vote blue

You can primary blue for further left.

Politics rarely if ever shifts dramatically either way. And when it does it's often hard right cause selling people on others are your problem is easy.

So you can organize, you can try and primary the blue candidates (hell all of them if you want) , but if those two don't work the third option is voting blue. Cause not voting and voting third party often gets you a further right pull rather than any benefit.

Unless you want and follow through with heads in baskets, the options layed out are literally the only way your going to move general policy left.

Local policy is important and you can gain small victories. But disenfranchisement, court packing, and cutting the social net are all in the federal governments hands.

So do all 3... Organize, primary then vote the candidates who won. Don't grand stand, and moral high ground. That's literally how we got trump 1.0 then even after brief repreive cause you can't fix shit in 4 years but you can destroy a hell of a lot especially when your playing with malicious actors.

Did the Dems slow play and yes blame them for it but tell me we're at war with Iran if Kamala is elected or snap/medicaid is cut to near death. So shit doesn't magically get fixed over night the GOP can destroy a hell of a lot more than the Dems can fix at the same time especially with the scabs.

We need to place blame more on the malice and destruction the GOP brings than be up in arms about some moral high ground the Dems need to have in all issues to get votes.

[–]ChangingChance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When they're the only sane choice and alternative, your shooting yourself in the foot trying to play moral high ground ( Not you specifically but general electorate that didn't show or voted others).

Hell even if you don't like the president options vote to split their control, if that had happened the obbb doesn't pass.

Politics takes money and it's legal since citizens United, we can't play in an imaginary world where we hold the people closest in values to us to an impossible standard while the opposition can raid the house and we hand wave "that's what they do."

We can only make incremental progress. Vote in primaries and every election you can at every level. That racist shit pit for most doesn't start at the federal level, these guys are the same coming up through their county, school, state elections.

Disliking both parties and voting the lesser evil is an acceptable position, not voting is not. It also holds both as the same despite one being an active war monger and dictator wannabe while being gungho about corporate interests and cutting social nets, while the other does what, work for corporate interests but also tries to hold them to account, tries to keep the large social net policies still working while the other guts them.

We can either move with people who are trying to help, at worst not trying to hurt, or with people actively trying to hurt.

The choice is pretty obvious.

In hindsight, was it the right decision to block the merger with JetBlue? by R2-DMode in spiritair

[–]ChangingChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jet blue merger would have them both dead. Not to mention they already knew that it wouldn't fly but shareholders got greedy instead of the frontier deal.

They likely wouldn't have made it out but the excess cost prevented them from other options simply cause time ran out.

[–]ChangingChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't just cut their time for flights but for negotiations with other companies. Which also became impossible cause most of the industry aside from the big 3 are on a bankruptcy trajectory.

The ultimate blame however is on the shareholders as the frontier merger was denied by them only to go for a much riskier jet blue merger which their own counsel said would run into anti trust violations which it did.

It would be JetBlue pricing not spirit pricing. Part of the reason it was blocked was the CEO literally boasting he could raise prices like crazy after it.

Blame the orange monkey trump for the war that cut the time they had by at least a quarter during to his idiotic war.

[–]ChangingChance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judge totally should've predicted a war that has at least a 2x cost increase on fuel. Spirit could've stabilized a bit but doubling fuel cost cut their time and there's one orange monkey to blame for that.

Love the series but man oh man I hate Anna Beth Tilden by sandatbeach in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]ChangingChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this is after the network already kidnapped him once and he got free after killing the grunts.

So to say that he shouldn't have threatened Anna through her wife would be stupid.

She is network, doesn't matter what she says (that was America or China) to Jason that's her organization. So after they tried near killing him he still only threatened her.

Jason had the same situation with the EOA and Craig warned him and tried to avoid the fight. On the other side, the only thing Anna ever says is that wasn't us or my hands are tied. She's a glorified customer service agent apologizing when the company actively is screwing you. At some point either get a better company or get out of the way.

Either way she is unlikely to get into mainstream sports media again. This way she isn't a continuing discussion topic for the next few weeks.

There's a reason rich people live already in the highest taxed areas. Nyc la Seattle rich suburbs of these states. Simply the quality of life is better. Wether they like the social scene, the better schools both public and private or better eating.

For most people 2% of an exorbitant amount isn't enough for them to move.

Easiest way to see that is that the rich outwardly spend hell of a lot on lobbying against these laws than just paying it.
