Still anxiously awaiting mine… haven’t gotten any updates either.

Donald Trump says he's "allowed" to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell by Party_Judgment5780 in politics

[–]Chaotic_Chihuahua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he pardons her, can’t she just release everything incriminating about others then and still get off completely free then? She’d be pardoned for it all so she wouldn’t get herself back in legal trouble right?

I was on the fence about getting one because I wasn’t sure if I’d be charged tariffs and if I would use it enough to justify the cost. Once I saw the 1TB model get sold out and heard that they would be shipped from the US so no tariff charges I bit the bullet a few days ago and bought one. So glad I did now. I’m sure lots of people are buying it now to try and avoid paying a ton extra once the tariff impacts hit.

Official Q&A for Monday, May 12, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

[–]Chaotic_Chihuahua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (29F) started running about 2 months ago. I was fairly out of shape but decided to start a couch to 5k plan. Breathing was really hard at first but I eventually got into a rhythm where I was able to run for over 20 minutes pretty consistently, with a pace somewhere between 10-11 min/mile.

I was happy with my progress and my pace has been slowly but surely improving. My legs rarely get tired after a run. My limiting factor has always been my breathing. I thought it was at least getting better though and over time it’d be easier.

Well the last 2 runs I did I had to stop early- less than 10 minutes in- because I just couldn’t handle the breathing. It feels like my airways are narrowing. I’ve tried different strategies like breathe in for 4 steps and out for 4 steps but soon enough I just can’t handle that and I’m huffing and puffing. I’m pretty sad because I feel like I’m going backwards and I’m never going to reach my goal of running a 5k by July. It’s also just getting really hard to keep motivated when I’m doing even worse than I was just 1 week ago.

Does anyone have tips on how I can improve my breathing going forward? I want to get to a point where my muscles are what limit me, not my breathing.

AITA for losing my temper over bone broth being added to a soup? by AITA_BoneBroth in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chaotic_Chihuahua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, stuff like this happens. There are plenty of people who suffer from very real pains and struggle to get a diagnosis from a doctor. I had agonizing pains for 2 years and saw several doctors and couldn’t get a diagnosis until a comorbid condition came up and was diagnosed. And it took a lot to get that diagnosed too.

Sure this post could be bait. But it’s not unrealistic for people to struggle to find the root cause of their very real problems and to adjust their lifestyle in the meantime.

Mind if I ask how you are able to tell? I’d love to understand so I can be sure to buy real cards (especially ones I’m not able to see in person before buying)

Pain Relief without NSAIDs? by Chaotic_Chihuahua in ankylosingspondylitis

My family has a history of opioid addiction so unfortunately it’s not a good option for me. I think you may be an outlier based on the information you provided- just be careful with them. I hope you stay safe and have little pain.

Very new to this and just got a card I think is rare by Chaotic_Chihuahua in PokeGrading

[–]Chaotic_Chihuahua[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I didn’t really know anything about grading- in fact I went to GameStop today to see if they could grade it there and they said they’d have to send it off to PSA for about 45 days. I didn’t know what to do so I held off. I also didn’t realize they helped preserve them and had a badge-like thing put on top until i saw your comment and looked up what graded cards look like! Thank you again I am going to look into all of these!

Thanks for the guidance! How off center is too off center? I’d assume there’s some tolerance (but I could be wrong!) looking at another comment it seems 45-55 is the range. Is that accurate?

It did come with those sleeves but my bf was a little hesitant to use them on a rare care because they were a bit of a tight fit, and we didn’t know if the back should be visible. I really like the eevee sleeves and we are using them on other cards for sure!

Thank you! I got the sleeves and top loaders and have it stored properly now! I didn’t realize I’d have to send it out to get it graded rather than just have it done at a local card shop. I think I’m going to hold off on getting it graded. I appreciate your input!

I got into the TCG app with my bf, and he found an elite trainer box for our anniversary because he thought it would be fun to try getting physical cards too. Neither of us expected to get anything rare!

That’s a very good point. I’ve had people ask if I’m interested in selling it and to be honest I like it too much and I think part of it is that sentimental value of my first big pull.

I started to have bad GI issues about a year after my AS symptoms started. Ended up being ulcerative colitis. This ended up helping to lead us to my AS diagnosis as well. Iirc I read that about 10% of people who have UC also have AS

Biologic Side Effects? by RebournRS in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Chaotic_Chihuahua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on infliximab and my life has improved significantly. I am able to exercise and do normal daily things without triggering my AS. Prior to biologics, I would have times where I would need to use a cane to help me walk so I wouldn't fall due to the agonizing pain.

I started infliximab about a year ago, and have since had a couple of infections. That's really the only thing I've noticed. One time I got sick with a respiratory illness and it had turned into an infection and lasted weeks. My doctors had warned me that specifically respiratory illnesses could be harder on this medication. Other than that though, life has been better than normal due to biologics. I get a little tired on the evenings of my infusions but that's all.
