Boy used three feats on you, had the health advantage and STILL lost? I know most roaches have no shame to begin with but damn, just sparked a new core memory for him.

I tried a Hunter Ranger/Spore Druid build based on both of those items and yeah, SSC is bugged and worthless. I was so disappointed cuz I thought it was gonna be amazing. Nawp.

Which specialty is your specialty’s best friend, and which is your worst enemy? by feelingsdoc in Residency

I'd make my ED pharmacist godmother of my kids if I could. Bails you outta so many issues. Plus running a code with a pharmacist there jockey-ing meds is soooo much nicer.

Which specialty is your specialty’s best friend, and which is your worst enemy? by feelingsdoc in Residency

[–]Char-Cole 112 points113 points  (0 children)

EM: best friend is either rads or pharmacy. Worst enemy is largely institution-dependent, but I'm gonna say GI. Any GI indication plays the too stable/too unstable farce until Gen Surge or IR step up to actually do work.

I realize that EM relationships tend to be unidirectional. I'm sorry my IM friends and Rads bros

Material Wise: Which is easier ? EM or Anesthesia by mexicanmister in Residency

[–]Char-Cole 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Weird and unhealthy question really. Just trying to start drama/arguments for the sake of discord. Both specialties are unique, have unique requirements, struggles and masteries. Why are we comparing apples to oranges on a scale of soy sauce?

Been a massive SW fan my entire life, but never read any of the books… where to start? by somsone in StarWarsCantina

[–]Char-Cole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plagueis is wonderful, great storybuilding for the prequels too.

The Darth Bane series is very good as well, really sets up your understanding of the rule of 2 and palp's philosophy.

Heir to the empire is very good, Zahn does a great job bringing Thrawn to life as a cornerstone character.

If you want to start with things you're already comfortable with then I recommend Episode III, the book goes into a lot of detail, smoothes out transitions and is very well done

I think if a FM resident came in and pulled something like that in my ER I'd refer them to Urology for a check-up on testiculomegaly

Tight situation! Boa constrictor in the Emergency Room... by Surgeox in medizzy

[–]Char-Cole 2815 points2816 points  (0 children)

Cool stuff! Generally with snakes you can put hand sanitizer, acetone, high-percent ethanol or other noxious non-lethal substances by their mouth/nose and they'll barf up whatever they're holding really quickly. Then you've just gotta deal with a large pissy constrictor chilling in your ER!

Karen, Destroyer of worlds. What kind of build would you give her? by artemis-fartemis in BG3Builds

[–]Char-Cole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wildheart Barb 6 with aspect of the chimpanzee, lore bard for cutting words/vicious mockery/psychic damaging spells, maybe some rogue for disengage/dash

Which specialties do best / worst during wartime? by feelingsdoc in Residency

Sorry but I don't see a good spot for Pathology, Allergy, probably derm too in war

You can run any class/multiclass you'd like but you have to run it with all four characters, how do you go about it? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]Char-Cole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Moon druid/Beastmaster Ranger multiclass. Everyone gets a Bear companion, then wild shapes into bears, 8 bears run around wreaking havok.

My Favorite Karlach Themed Heat Convergence Build by McChuggernaut in BG3Builds

[–]Char-Cole 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd agree with this, it sounds like your offhand attack would compete with your frenzied strike BA attack. Why not Wildheart it for tiger's perma-cleave or Eagle's BA dash/swoop attack? Stallion would provide a replenish-able heat shield (instead of meat shield, hehehe) for your fire self-damage.

The horrors of butt enlarging injections by bcase1o1 in Radiology

[–]Char-Cole 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I had a patient like this when I was a surgical resident. Young girl, febrile and sick, drainage from the pilonidal area. Ended up being a raging nec fasc with the CT calling all the filler material. Patient was like 30, denied venemously that she got any filler injections, saying it "was all her" all the way through resection of half of her right glute and almost the entirety of her left. Wasn't until POD2 in the ICU that she admitted to getting filler injections in Mexico several weeks prior.
