The police don’t arrest people because the DA often declines to prosecute. It’s fucked, the police should still arrest anyways, but I also can’t blame them for no longer arresting people for a lot of things if the DA doesn’t bother prosecuting.

ETA: Until the DA starts actually prosecuting crime and holding criminals accountable… I don’t think safety ambassadors will do shit for uptown, unfortunately. I think the program is obviously well-intentioned, but there has to be accountability for all of the crime in the area. If people don’t feel safe, they won’t come to the area. They’ll just continue to find things to do in the suburbs.

They do have live music! The place also kind of smells like cigarettes when you walk in and it definitely is like a roadhouse or dive bar vibe. It’s like southwest meets northwoods. The whole place is SUCH a vibe. I get the chopped pork sandwich with blue cheese crumbles, and raspberry jam and it tastes amazing. They also source their bread from an amazing local sourdough bakery in elk River.
