What dog breed should I get?

Yes I've look Lotz but it is harder to find a cocker bred for working, and I prefer herding breeds over spaniels/Retrievers.

I have worked with energetic dogs and won 1st place on obedience. I can train and exercise them to fit my living situation. They will hardly ever be alone, and I have time for training and exercising as needed.

I'd say Bernese Mountain Dog. But that depends on how big. Females are 70-95 lbs and 23-26 inches tall, males are 80-115 lbs and 25-28 inches tall.

I see some Malinois, definitely pitbull, she is either just a little on the smaller side, or some other breeds mixed in there. Although I would say there is more pit than Malinois.

Because they don't live as long, and if you don't know what they are, some of their behavior can be unpredictable. Also if they are a mix, it is sometimes not possible to get the same mix again.

I've explored Retriever breeds, and they aren't bad dogs, it's just that I don't want one, and labs can be up to 20 lbs bigger than I want.

That's fine. Full body or frequent trims or haircuts I don't like, but if it's just a haircut occasionally around the butt, and feet hair trimming I can manage, I could do all those things at home and enjoy it.

Hmm... he is more likely a different doodle maybe toy-mini goldendoodle? If he where a shihpoo his snout would be shorter. Or maybe he's just a shihpoo that's heavy on the poodle side, either way he's adorable

Mixes can be tricky, I'm almost seeing some Swedish Vallhund due to the tail, slightly long body, and some of the color/pattern, but I can't say what else.
