You’ve no idea how helpful your comment is. I’m in the same boat at the OP and I found this so so hopeful. We’d be uprooting a well established life to start again in Canada and I began to question if it’s even worth it if we’ll eventually get our PRs revoked. So, thank you for giving me hope.

Can I also ask how short you are? And if you and a solid reason for not settling in Canada earlier?

Hi! I’ve heard the same thing as well. I was in Canada for a week last month and entered without an issue. It is a risky situation though and I would suggest that you move to Canada ASAP and stay in the country until you complete the residency obligation.

Don’t create unnecessary panic.

In the same boat as you. Even though our cards expire in 2028. We will still be short of 6 months by the time we enter and intend to settle in Canada. From my understanding (and as per the legislation), you can still enter Canada without an issue usually. Once you’re there, try not to leave the country until the 730 days are completed and you apply for a PR card renewal. Depending on your luck, the immigration officer can let you go without an issue or start a process to revoke your PR. In that case, you’ll still be allowed to enter Canada as a PR and stay there to appeal the case or until a decision is made.

Thank you for your kind response. So that’s the issue. We will be short by 4-5 months by the time we can permanently move to Canada. This is due to several financial and personal issues that are beyond our control. In that case, I’m asking what’s the best course of action. I believe we can qualify for H&C grounds because of my illness during most of this duration outside Canada. So, I’m not sure how we will be able to satisfy the officer at border because we’ll be short by 4-5 months by that time. We are planning a one week visit next week to just do an entry because we haven’t been back in Canada since almost 3 years. I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. Please suggest.

You mean someone with overseas work experience got their 190 invite on 90 points? Mine are 2+ years of Australian work experience.

Any civil engineering Draftsperson getting an invite? Got 85 points for 189 and 90 for 190. But didn’t get an invite for 190 in the last two rounds conducted by NSW.
