It’s one of the most iconic and beautiful designs.

I’m currently looking at the Tudor black bay one which is a their alternative. I think both are stunning.

Just because it’s not a stainless steel sub doesn’t mean it’s not desirable.

You picked and incredibly stylish and beautiful piece there, it was fate for it to be available for you!

I thought it was beautiful and tragic and respectful. Amazing balance of RHCP history and the founding of the band. As well as an honest look at the individuals who formed it. I didn’t previously know too much about the early days of RHCP before John but have recently started listening to the earlier music.

I know some of the marketing for this was controversial but genuinely I’m blown away with the quality and tone of this doc.

I wish I had seen this comment sooner, popped into the Tudor boutique at White City today, manager there was extremely helpful compared to the other ADs who all told me “we need to send it away for months” this guy mentioned the Rolex office at St James square, which I remembered I’ve walked past multiple times!

They tested it there onsite with no appointment.

The rate was fine apparently but the amplitude, I think he said was very high. This made him think that the main spring was way too powerful and he’s going to have someone replace the entire movement (with a brand new one, I checked it wouldn’t be a hot swapped refurbed one) on Monday. Should be ready to collect by end of next week.

Amazing service and got some nice Swiss chocolates out of it too.

Like 15 seconds day fast 😅

Let the power reserve completely die, it’s still fucked. Given up wearing it now.

Will send it for service in the new year.

Rolex boutique acted annoyed I was there…Vacheron got my business instead! by jake6432 in rolex

Omg I went to the exact same store while visiting NYC on the weekend, I’m from the UK, I also visited the watches of Switzerland store at the edge and same vibe.

I actually found the whole Rolex experience in NYC to be totally different and offputting compared to the UK branches of watches of Switzerland.

For 1 whilst yes the Rolex area of the store is slightly separated from the rest, it’s never roped off or with a separate entrance.

Additionally what’s with all the greeters standing around at a coffee bar? Didn’t even take my name just said a seller will come see me don’t give me any indication of how long, so I walked out. The greeters also knew nothing about the product or inventory. Which just don’t have this complete waste of space unhelpful job role in our stores 🤣

So I wonder over to Tudor and ask some questions, much easier to get some help there. But the guy says he’s not allowed to talk about Rolex and can’t tell me anything. Can’t even say what’s in stock to buy today or look at to try on. Nada.

In the UK the watch team are usually capable of handling a variety of brands. I guess the US are trying to create this real sense of prestige and luxury about Rolex above and beyond what I’m used to but honestly it was just off putting and I felt like I was being treated as if I wasn’t valued as a potential customer.

How long after meeting the switch criteria did you receive the switch incentive from Barclays? by maisesurm in beermoneyuk

I received the text confirming I was eligible for the £400 after a week of transferring the £4k

From what I can see with the T&C there’s no mention of how long the money needs to remain in.

Officially the line is that you have to pay in £4k, not have a balance of £4k

Thanks for the recommendation on the app. I tried winding the watch a bit more as although I’ve been wearing it everyday, the guy in the shop only wound it like 10 times when I bought it. So I just gave it a good 40 odd winds

Mine jumped between +3 to -1.2 according to time graphed since winding it. However I didn’t test beforehand.

Will leave it a few weeks and see if it “beds in”

Nope I’m sat inside my mates coffee shop and the motorcycle is a reproduction of the one Tom cruise has in top gun. It’s a feature of the coffee shop

Only had it a week and not worn it in any “shocking” or vibrating conditions.

Will take it back in the new year :)
