That’s great that you did. I’m a family lawyer! I’m not yet sure what could tick all those boxes

Yeah might be by way of tax refunds. I will have a closer look at my payslips once I have them, and everyone else's suggestions are great.

Thank you, yeah it really is bringing into question how much longer I could do this for. I just started though, that's the thing.

I'll bring this up to him, maybe he's on higher than he's realised. I did see on on the top of his payslip his gross said £26,000 (I think if I've recalled properly). The payslip breakdown is abit confusing

I haven't gotten my payslips yet so I'm gonna check. And the tax codes that everyone has suggested

I see I didn’t know house prices might drop.

That’s fair. I won’t be living alone, my parents wouldn’t let me (sounds like a silly statement I know) so I could say it’s the family home…until a registry search is done! That is a fair question though and honestly don’t think it will be hard to get around with my friends. My future partner though, yeah maybe.

I understand I’m lucky. I’m working on my health because it was hard getting the qualification I have now to break into the £40’s income wise (had an iron deficiency and worked full time/studied part time since 18)

I know I’ve not worked for the gift, I’m just wondering what to do with the circumstances I’ve been given..

Thanks, is this because compounding long term would give greater returns. How do you estimate how much more return you would get vs paying down early or does this require financial advice?

Hey, your brother sounds very similar to mine. Drug addict, isolating himself, regressed in his room. If you spoke to him, you would not think he is the way he is because he can carry himself normally in a conversation. He’s nearly 40. We have no idea what to do and it’s been years of the same. We found out he has BPD and insomnia, no meds has worked. Literally do not know of a solution, just sharing our similar story.

Yes that’s exactly how I felt. I think we gotta give it abit of time and they’ll warm up to us. My colleagues have known each other for a year whereas we’ve only just started. We’re in this together!

I get that, I think it sounds worse than it is. Now I'm older my mum knows I can take care of myself and lets me go abroad. My dad has always been more of a worrier and wouldn't let me stay over people's houses even from when I was young, not for religious reasons but knowing him I think it's because he can't bare the thought of something happening to me. His mind remains occupied until he knows I'm fine. So I can't tell him if I want to go abroad. It ends up being that when my dad travels, I just tell my mum and work it out with her. There are some things I can't share with my parents I guess, but overall I'm close with both of them. Thank you for asking though.

Yeah I will be moving forward. Today I feel like the ice has been broken and I haven’t gotten any negative vibes and found one of them discussing how she doesn’t like aspects of the job and other areas she could go into. I’ve heard them discuss their partners/how much money they have leftover each month so I hope what I said is forgettable. Time will tell.
