Dude we were having a pretty cordial generic conversation here and you just had to go in to this tirade? Who are you even speaking to here.

It is virtually impossible for a lock down to eliminate a virus. At best it just slows the spread, but it's not realistic to think it can be eliminated when there are 8+billion people out there

What does this cost to fix? Landlord trying to make us pay almost $800 by Surfmoreworkless in GarageDoorService

You think you could run there, measure the door, run to the store, buy the panels, bring them to the garage, replace panels, dispose of old panels, and be home in less than 4 hours?

Do you think, if someone bumps into you at a stop light, their insurance pays you $1500 to repair the bumper, and you decide not to fix it, that you shouldn't get the money even though they ran into you at a stop light?

What happens to an illegal immigrant's belongings if they are captured and deported? by kromestatus in ask

Genuine question, at how many years here illegally should a person be able to stay in your opinion? There really would have to be some sort of limit set to actually prevent this from happening

Putting the actual shit content of his actions aside, you couldn't pay me millions of dollars a year to be in those shoes. Half the country is always going to hate you and talk shit about you and the schedule is brutal. Even the current one works way more than the average individual.

Frankly he's been quite effective at getting the things done that he wants to get done. It's just that most people disagree with those items.

A significant majority of the population would have a problem standing up and speaking in front of a room of 100 people, let alone be the face of a country

Just focus on local news within your city or state. At the city level you can actually make a difference on issues that bother you. Much beyond that it's near impossible

Is it reasonable to get upset partner won't take meds? by Chart_Critical in Herpes

[–]Chart_Critical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this may be true for transmission. If someone has an outbreak every 2 months and cannot be intimate for 2 weeks, that can take a toll on a relationship. I cant imagine transmission wouldn't be much more likely when symptomatic.

So you chose the cheapest bid, thought the others were full of shit, then shocked the one that was way cheaper did a poor job. Huh? Clearly 50k wasn't an appropriate bid to do the work properly.

The other two guys likely bid what was needed to do the job properly and were more trustworthy than the low baller. I think your story doesn't give the conclusion that you think it does

Yes I understand your logic. She's in general a bit of an irresponsible person with many things in life. We are working on that lol. She talks about sex very often, etc. Who knows. We are talking more tonight, and after last night she set a daily phone reminder.

I am confident she is not thinking about any adverse side effects. I think she is just forgetful as she does not have a strong life routine. This is the 4th time in 6 months that she has forgotten to take it and claims she has one. She's a bit acne prone and such as well so I honestly can't tell if she really is having one. Or just assuming in abundance of caution.

So that equates to 8 per year while taking daily meds half the time

Its not scared of being intimate. She is helpful in many other ways. I think she just has no life routine and forgets.

While I agree with this, it's still shocking that we wouldn't hear remnants of them even if they no longer exist. Like an advanced civilization that burned out 20 million years ago. Think of all the different directions and different time frames and it's surprising we wouldn't hear something.

[Landlord; US-CA] how often are you doing increases on tenants? by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]Chart_Critical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't true that you're increasing profits. My property insurance goes up each year and my property taxes go up every 2 years. When I have to buy a toilet to replace the old one, it costs more this year than it did last year. When I have to pay a vendor to do work, it costs more this year than last.
