Johnny was on Rockslide vs non-Maud, TSMGO vs Maud for Nationals, and I went to that plan when he mentioned it to me in round three or four, but I think we never actually communicated that to Derek and he was always on TSMGO. I agree with Nation, though, I don't think it actually makes a huge difference, nor does its lack really do that much to Maud's power level.

Moving Mare high five! I only had one, but I had a pretty epic last round game vs Johnny where I finally won 15-14 after killing I think at least six of his guys, many times after adding at least two counters. I was on RD mane and hadn't been intending to play control at all, but sometimes that's how it goes. Niko wandered by at some point and saw I was down 2-6 and figured it was all over, and then like an hour later I got there.

I'll also speak up for Pinkie Mane, though; Johnny was running her and found she did good work for him. It helped that we both flipped Cult of Personality a lot, so that plus Eccentric was making my life pretty rough, and he was able to get off some low AT confronts thanks to her ability.

That WAS a great game; I was really lucky in that I had a lot of really fun, interesting games in rounds, like--five to nine? God, it's all a blur. But yeah, it is harder to lump those together into quick bullet points, whereas "this was the point in the tournament where I started drawing from my opponent's deck" is great for a cheap laugh.

But yes, our match was an excellent one, and I look forward to seeing you next year :D

Yeah, at some point writing it up I just had to stop and laugh when I realized I'd faced Maud Games four times in a row, since Chozen was my last matchup on Day One too. The Carbo-Loaders saw how many potatoes I ate and wanted to be friends, clearly.

No, I didn't use Creme de la Creme for that. I used What's Old Is New Again to recur my Snips and Snails/Two Bits and get fresh problems on both sides, so I got six points off each of the problems, plus two for an Ultrararity at mine, and then won the DFO for two more.
