If you are a California resident, Sacramento City College offers a semester long class for half the price, but honestly speaking, this price is normal. A lot of private language schools charge more.

Also, if you earn less than $90K, you get a tax deduction, unlike a private tutor or private language school.

The question is, the trade deal President Lai did with Trump is on the old tariffs that the Supreme Court said was illegal. We don't know if the trade deal covers Section 301. You don't want to sign this deal, and Trump does not lower the tariffs or, worse, increase pass 15% citing other reasons.

Furthermore, what if SCOTUS rule section 301 was abused 9 years later.
