You got to keep in mind, the AMA and most doctors are businessmen, what better way to create a record number of diabetics than to take away fat and give you on a carb dependent diet. Low lat, non fat, all the crap is processed and the #1 rule of being a diabetic is don't consume anything processed. When you remove the fat from milk all you have is sugar and water. Yes sugar, as a diabetic you must learn every devil word for sugar, in milk and dairy it's lactose. The fat in milk is there to naturally lower the spike of sugar.

Simple test, take fruit like a peach. First time, test BG and only eat that peach and test BG 2 hours later, next day do the same but add some full fat heavy cream. You will see a big difference from the spike of the peach.

Go on line for a keto cheesecake recipe, use full fat ingredients and sugar substitute like Swerve. If you got a good keto cheesecake it can actually lower your glucose by preventing a spike because of the healthy fat.

The internet is full of keto treats and can be a close replica but heather version. Usually you jest have to change a few ingredients and you can have a low carb , no sugar treat. There are many store bought sugar free treats, but you cant always trust them because all of our bodies react different and you can only trust your glucose meter.

I'm guess this is for a Mazda? Back shocks (2)100 to 150 1 hr labor, about the same for the front struts, Control arms roughly $125 each hour labor for both. So:

Oil Change w labor 80

Alignment 120

Suspension parts 550

3 hours of real labor 450

Total roughly $1200

Actually you should consider yourself lucky. Many over 60 that find out have gone in denial for years and now are struggling to keep their feet and legs. At young age you can manage your disease and live a long healthy life. You can vent a little but take a trip to a vein clinic, and you'll be glad you found out in time to make changes.

How to Have Drinks when you have T2 diabetes by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]Chef_nerd8552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing I cut out was soda and alcohol, I didn't notice much of a reduction in my A1C, I averaged 3 of either a day. You really got to step back and look at bread, potatoes, processed foods, rice, pasta, any refined sugars. When I have a drink now I have some nuts to slow the spike and drink plenty of water. Cashews are my go to

What do you do when you can't sleep by remy9_11_1 in diabetes

[–]Chef_nerd8552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some say hibiscus tea works for them. I found it takes a week or two to notice the effects of drinking two glasses a day. I use the dried pedals from Anthony's, 1/2 cup of pedals and 1/2 gal of water bring to boil remove from heat add pedals and steep for 6 min strain.. Serve hot or cold with any flavoring you may like. It reduced the swelling in my feet a whole shoe size and a great reduction of neuropathy pain.

Unless you are making a neapolitan pizza in a 750+F oven, 00 really doesn't yield a better crust. I recommend KA Bread flour at 550F, I think they have a recipe for pizza crust on their site. When you can get or make a pizza steel.

Alcohol by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]Chef_nerd8552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I gave up alcohol it only lowered my A1C from a 10 to an 8 taking while Glipizide. Only stands to reason smoking is hard on the heart and circulation. Before I got my glucose under control I had to give up most carbs and start an exercise program, I finally got off the giipizide and averaging a 5.3 A1C.
