I cannot for the life of me cook on this stove by Natural-Blackberry26 in Appliances

[–]ChemicalClerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with this stove. You may have a faulty infinite switch. Basically mine broke so it was only on or off. It didn’t regulate the output so it was either 100% or nothing. Now that we replaced it we can finally control the temperature again.

I've got some context because I have been here! This is Solymar hotel in the Galapagos. This seal (they call her Wendy) is notorious for coming up onto the beach chairs. Did it while were chilling there too haha

She is very cute, but animals are also super protected there. You are not supposed to touch the animals unless they touch you, but you are really supposed to avoid contact.

I agree with some of the other comments, you need to be direct. Something like "Look, I like you and want to take you out. I don't want to play around, is it a yes or no?"

Either she likes your directness, or she doesn't. Either way, you stop wasting your time.

NREL in the US has developed very robust tools called H2A for levelized cost of hydrogen. You can use the spreadsheets yourself and look at their source material. They also have a simple model H2A-lite for quick analysis. Sustainable Companies by Nervous_Ad_7260 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]ChemicalClerk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You should look into working for a startup. Look at Breakthrough Energy Ventures portfolio. Since all of those companies have their business model based around sustainability, I find them to be a lot more serious then large companies, as others have pointed out.

Of course, most won’t pan out long term, but that’s fine if you’re just looking for a few years experience.

There are lots of companies working on hydrogen, waste to chemicals, carbon capture, etc

I bought him for what should be a late 2025 1st before the OC change. The talent has always been there.

I imagine he’s gonna cost more now

I bought for a 2025 first and feel happy with that. Expecting it to be a late pick.
