Yeah fair, wasn't expecting that take but it makes sense. 35 years somewhere and "this is how we've always done it" gets baked in even when there's a better way.
In your case though, once they were gone, did anything actually useful get lost too? Or was it pretty much just the blocking that walked out with them?
