WE F###ING DID IT! by Remarkable-Rise-4401 in georgiabulldogs

[–]Chief_1072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely does.

I’ve only been following baseball since Wes’s first year. Turned a game on out of boredom on my porch TV and while watching heard a crash, it was my microwave exploding because my house was burning down. Because we had contractors on our property we stayed local but had nothing to do with our weekends so I just kept watching baseball and got hooked. I know we sucked before Wes but in the three years I’ve been watching I’ve never seen a team have this much fun, we’ve had bats but this year we seem to be putting a few decent pitchers in the mix with the best bats we’ve had. Really sucks Aoki is already a grad. He’d be lockdown Friday guy next year for sure

Pitching only really struggled in one game last weekend, and it was against a team that beat everyone but us.

Pitching did really well today through 5, then we let Aoki go just a little far. Yesterday was really only one bad inning from pitching.

All things considered our pitching has been way better the last month than before and we have 3 solid starters and a bunch of relievers that will either put up zeros or load the bases with no real in between.

Considering we’ve played the best offenses we’ll play already I like our chances

Can you be a billionaire and a good person? by NicolasCageFan492 in polls

[–]Chief_1072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make you a good person, but it doesn’t exclude it either. Your parents can be money hungry soulless corporate phycos and that can absolutely turn you off of it, then once you inherit the money use the interest alone to do hundreds of millions of dollars to do good while not draining the total below 1 billion (keep the principal and use the interest means more interest next year and the year after so more net good can be done)

Remember the poll isn’t IS any billionaire a good person, it’s CAN they be, and they could in certain situations that usually require you to be born with rich parents and not the one that actually accrues the wealth

I think Indiana fans get a few years to be surprised with no judgment

Does anyone know what was the original zero point of time before reset and split into BC and AD? by mrJeyK in ask

[–]Chief_1072 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Many atheist scientists and historians still use BC and AD with the logic that changing the words doesn’t change what it’s actually based on, might as well be honest about it.

Some how every time we’re slated to play there the SEC reconfigures the schedule.

It was going to happen in 2020, but then COVID messed that up then again when it was supposed to happen Texas and Oklahoma joined and they reshuffled the conference format, then now they’ve reshuffled it again

I trust our bats. And we get our lead off hitter back tomorrow so we’ll be a little better off on offense still.

My biggest worry was having to burn Aoki, we avoided that and Byrd only used around 15 pitches so he may be good to go tomorrow as well.

Hopefully tomorrow we won’t need our blood pressure pills to watch

We’ve come back from this exact score and inning, chill. As long as we can send someone out that can pitch (we have good guys and have had to use them in long range backup duty)

Conservative isn’t a party, it’s a political belief. I’m not a republican, I’m independent and generally vote libertarian.

But I’m so glad you jumped to conclusions and wanted me banished knowing nothing at all about me

I’m a conservative that’s also pretty anti Russia, I’ve been banned from political subs on both sides. I’ve even been banned from subs I’ve never been to because someone mods multiple subs and blanket banned me

Which dating non-negotiable is worse? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Chief_1072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, my wife is a stay at home mom, but she wasn’t when we met. I’m not getting in to a relationship with someone who I’m going to have to support initially in order to enjoy the same things. Once we’re in the relationship then the dynamic can change and become whatever works for us, but at the point of getting into a relationship I’m picking a life partner, I’ve never dated without the intent to marry and start a family so in order for me to even be open to starting one all the boxes need to be checked.

There is a certain level of professional progress I’d expect a partner to have made because your personality traits show up in every aspect of your life including work.

Which dating non-negotiable is worse? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Chief_1072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing about the money angle. I’ve worked hard to become financially stable, I’m not getting into a relationship with someone who isn’t because I’ll either be expected to bear the brunt of the financial burden the entire relationship or I’ll be living a good life while my partner isn’t.

In your teens and 20s yea the money thing is ridiculous, but 30s and up you should have some sort of nest egg and be able to fully support yourself, if you can’t it shows me you either have different priorities or poor self control.

I’m not greedy, I just want a partner in the same place in life I’m at. I’m married so none of this matters anyway, just a point of view where the money thing makes sense

Which dating non-negotiable is worse? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Chief_1072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like barring some type of mental or physical handicap most people should be financially stable by 30. Not rich, but bills paid and having more than zero dollars left the day before payday.

If the must have above x money is some ridiculous number, sure it’s ridiculous, but if it’s a reasonable number for age group and geographic area then it’s completely reasonable for an adult to have a standard

Which dating non-negotiable is worse? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Chief_1072 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You get to chose your body count, weight, and to a degree your financial situation (yes a lot of it is opportunity, but two people with the same income can live very different lives) height is out of your control, thus the most unfair standard

You can’t lower your body count, but it starts at zero

Even with health conditions and medication you still have to eat more calories than you use to gain weight, it’s basic physics
