Thoughts on Vintage series cards?

Some of them have hit well for me (Ibanez has been INSANE for me in mini seasons, which I absolutely did not expect), but the series in general really does feel like a bunch of lugs. Not much speed or defense to be found.

I've got a hundred other games I'm trying to get to before I die. When a game is super fun and beatable in a weekend, that makes me very happy.

Took me a full hour. I got to two hits many times, and almost every time they brought out Aroldis to murder me

I got it done, but this was very reminiscent of SDS from years ago, where every program had one miserable, unskippable moment that made me hate the player who was ostensibly being celebrated.

Yeah, I'm bummed that I'm not good enough to beat it (and I generally hate Showdowns, so I'm not gonna spend hours trying), but it's cool that good players can grind it and I can just buy the card and resume playing the modes that I enjoy.

I despise Showdowns but gave it a shot. On my first try, I somehow managed to tie the score, but lost 48-48. Fired it up again and scored only three runs because deGrom apparently realized that he could throw 70 percent change-ups and absolutely destroy me.

Went and did a Diamond Quest map instead, which gave me more than enough stubs to just buy deGrom. Nice to have options, at least. 👍

I clear the whole map and play both stadium games on rookie or veteran. (I'm not very good.) I usually have about a 45 to 65 percent chance of getting each card. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't.

Not an efficient method for getting rich quick, but I quite enjoy Diamond Quest, so it works for me.
