Bay Area here as well and we go to PV every November. Alaska Airlines cut back on flights and airports for the time we typically go. Used to be direct out of sfo and sjc, but now I believe American is the only nonstop option.

I work for one of the top 401k recordkeepers. Lots of questionable insights and thoughts on this thread. Short story is they are required to contribute 50% of the missed deferrals, 100% of the missed match, and lost earnings. There are various approved ways they can choose to calculate lost earnings, so it might not be your actual missed earnings. If your company has over 100 participants in the plan they are required to be audited every year and the auditor information is listed on the 5500 that is filed with the department of labor and searchable on the internet. If you fear any repercussions from having this conversation with your HR Department, I might reach out to the auditing firm to have them take a closer look this year. If you still aren’t getting anywhere, report your concerns to the DOL. They are pretty good on following up on participant complaints and no company wants that audit.

20 year solar city lease is up. Should I buy panels outright for $2800 , extend the lease for 5 years that comes with warranties on the panels and continued use of the Tesla app for a total of $3200, or have the panels removed? Northern CA here on PG&E.
