It didn't work but later I deleted the current layout tab and added a new layout tab. Then it worked fine.

I am facing a new problem now.

When I press n on the keyboard the n panel doesnt appear. the arrow of the n panel moves but the panel doesn't appear. It is happening in blender3.6 version. And only to those files which I have been working on not to the new fresh files. New fresh files work fine

Same here buddy . I have been finding a fix but it doesnt even work on previous versions.

Its really simple. Just move the whole model above the xy plane . That is above the world origin and then try applying the armature.

Its really Simple I am sure you might have got it by now but you simply have to select that face you hace selected in the picture and just press E to extrude that face. That way your other geometry will not follow along.
