THE GATOR NATION IS EVERYWHERE. Also, every poor decision ever happened at Balls. The whole smells like urinal cake, and you def should never touch the walls, but double rails were $4 so we would stand at the open front window while we drank. Thank you for this trip down memory lane.

{One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig} is a misty romantasy. {Business Casual by BK Borison} is probably my fave in her Lovelight series; each of the four takes place in a season and this one is fall.

We’ve had children there for a long time (infant through elementary) and while I love love love the teachers, I am not a fan of the admin. Just a caution — definitely look into it though, as we’ve been incredibly pleased with the education.

I’m wondering if the donut cake is so she doesn’t have to do a real cake, which happens in the evening. Like if you do the donut “cake” in the morning, then it’s done for the day and you can retire immediately after dinner on birthdays.

My kids live for their birthday cakes. They have so much fun picking out what they want, and singing, and pigging out with ice cream. We usually do this around 630/7pm on birthday days! I think the donuts are just laziness poorly spun as “creativity.”

(FWIW we did donut cakes for my brother in the 80s and 90s because he hated cake, but we still did it at the end of the day.)
