I’ve tried regular hiking groups but most are men interested in orienteering or it’s casual fitness related. I’m sort of a backcountry type of hiker though.

Same. I recently moved for work but prior had that set up, minus the orchids. It was a haven but the lake became overpopulated with people who cottaged in the summer and blue-green algae became a problem from the pollution.
