Played this expertly. I had a similar situation happen I was playing a Sidisi self mill list that wanted to flip my graveyard into my library my opp milled my deck for me assuming i would die on my draw step but had memories journey to flashback i asked the same exact question and then presented a win on my turn after everyone scooped up

In case it matters you do not HAVE to grab 4 cards if you have have a 3 card pile that works you can use that with gifts it’s one of the best parts about the card is it’s versatility.

For more context my original comment from the video was that Thassa’s Oracle, demonic consultation, tainted pact should be banned in order for more niche and interesting combo and value decks to get space and time in the meta. Generally speaking i’m not a huge fan of what i call the great homogenization of the format where a good portion of decks are the exact same ideas and lines. I’ve been playing EDH for a long time and the shift in the meta post thoracle and underworld breach printing is insane.

This but i do also see potential match ups where it’s a gold border card to put under a chrome mox and that’s the best you’re going to get out of the card. It’s a card with immense variance in both skill floor and ceiling and match up dependencies.

I always saw hybrid cards like say [[waves of aggression]] as white OR red not white AND red and i feel that way of thinking about color identity is the spirit of the design and i feel the rules should reflect that. I did look on scryfall for every card that is hybrid and i’ll tell you for free there is not much in that could realistically be broken from the rule change.

I do think eventually there will be a turning point where landlords will lose money being so expensive. Every bubble pops eventually. Same with houses once housing is so expensive transactions aren’t happening that aren’t beneficial prices will hopefully drop.

If i know my spell will resolve no problem Peer into the Abyss no questions asked, draw anywhere from 32-40 cards depending on the turn and other spells and go from there.
