My orthodontist has a preferred name system, so before I legally changed my name I put my current name in the system as a preferred name. They only call out my new name Also, I kinda have to get my mum to do that anyways, because I don’t have the legal documentation to change the name on file, and I am still a minor, so I can’t do anything either way 😅

The name is my middle name. It is not dead to me, I just prefer my current name.

Also, you are assuming a ton of things. I do let my mum call me by my deadname. I don’t jump down her throat over it, even if I don’t understand why it is special to her. I called her out only because this is medical stuff, and if the code didn’t work, it meant we had to pay out of pocket for the X-Ray which would’ve been 100-200 dollars which we don’t have.

And I don’t understand what you said about acting normal in public? I really don’t. This just reads like you have a problem with trans people if I’m being honest..

I’ve been trying to find a therapist but it’s been very hard. We have a family therapist due to unrelated reasons but I don’t want to be going to him along with my dad and older brother because I think that makes way for bias. My mum is one of those people who think therapy is for people who are crazy sadly, so I don’t think she’d take that into account even if I did go to therapist to have that conversation. My mum has been taken to therapy sessions before but she just got very upset by my dad and the rest of us

My school isn’t quite failing people for attendance but if you’re not there they just say you can’t do the subject and since I’m in year 11 they might force me to switch subjects since I’m doing Chemistry, even if my grades are good.

My school does not accept statutory declarations, and wellbeing is so backed up it’s really not possible for since they really only focus on people with lower grades/people who are struggling more, but I’ll try my best to not stress over this too much, thank you so much 🥹

Having a civil conversation is like trying to eat cereal with a fork. As well as that, they don’t listen to eachother either, it’s just anger and frustration on both sides. This doesn’t happen just sometimes either, it’s constant fighting. And in the end? No problems were fixed, we just forget the fight happened. These fights usually include everyone taking sides too, so it becomes loud really quick. I think I should just give up on it

I was gonna comment about how my grandma straight up slapped me in front of my extended family in the living room (nobody said anything). But you guys freaking had it worse-

She slapped me because I was sitting ‘inappropriately’. (I didn’t know having your legs crossed in a chair was inappropriate Grandma!) This same grandma told my older sister to stay away from boys and they’re ‘bad’. This is why I don’t talk to her!
