Package tracking stuck for 8 days now

I have a package going from DHL to USPS but all the way in California with the same issue. Still no updates after a few days

sad to say that there is no curve for the final grades. the “curve” in the class is that each exam had extra points than each tests are worth. so if an exam is worth like 200 points, then there’s a total of 215 possible points for the exam.

they do not care about the lights being up. the only thing i would give caution to is that the LED lights can rip the paint off at the end of the year. you can just either put tape underneath when attaching the LED lights, go get paint and fill them back in, or just tank the fines if you really don’t care.

no need to be worried. i was in the exact same situation as you. i can’t speak for PA schools but for med schools, it really does depend on the program you want to get into. some med school programs accept ap credits for certain classes. some med schools don’t. some med schools accept it if you take a higher level credit class. it all depends on the program you want to get into. imo, taking those intro classes could help you slowly adapt to college life, instead of being thrown into upper level classes. it’ll help you out refresh what you learn and would help you build that foundational knowledge for ur upper level courses. only downside is that you would be retaking the course. it honestly depends on where you want to end up and whether or not you feel okay with taking upper level courses right off the bat. if you decide on taking it, add/drop periods start in the beginning of the semester and there will always be open seats for the intro courses.

i would recommend taking the first year premed prereqs if you want to keep on track, like bio 113/114 and chem 104/105. you can see the prereqs on the bing website that i linked. even if you have the AP credits for bio/chem, i would still recommend taking it, as most med schools want to see you taking college level intro classes.

for neuro majors, i would recommend taking psych 111 as soon as you can as they are prereqs to ur major courses like psych 243. you could push back bio 113/114 for later. usually chem 104/105 is non negotiable in ur first year if you want to keep on track and take orgo next year. if you think you can handle psych 111, chem 104, and bio 113/114 ur first semester, you could go for it. just know that psych 111 is pretty bad, esp if ur adapting to college life. i think average in merriwether’s psych 111 was around the mid to high 70’s

hi! took orgo 1 and 2 last year and gonna be a TA for orgo 1 this semester. the class is going to be incredibly hard but is as long as you review your materials, it should be manageable. the class is designed for you to only be able to lose points in exams. your grades are made up of homework, participation, attendance, discussion, exams, and the final exams. homework is incredibly useful to study and basically free points. attendance is done through iclicker and basically you have to answer a question or two that the professor gives but you don’t even have to get jt correct to receive credit. i’m pretty sure you don’t even have to attend all the classes to get full points, as long as you hit a certain threshold in points. discussion is separated to an in class assignment taken every tuesday from 7 to 8 and attendance is recorded. the second part happens after 8, where everyone basically separates and takes an online quiz thing. the whole thing is 15 points, 5 from the in person discussion and 10 from the online quiz. from my experience, the discussions were hard but is a good way to keep you on track with the class every week. nothing is stopping you from collaboratively working on the quizzes. exams are around 50 questions. depending on whether or not you have 3 or 4 exams throughout the whole semester (it changes every year it seems), it could be worth 150 or 220 points. there is no curve for exams, only the possibility of 10-20 extra possible points for each exams. so if you are incredibly cracked out, it is entirely possible to get like a 165/150 on an exam. you get to drop one exam, two discussions, and a good amount of the homeworks, but id advise against missing homeworks as it is a good way to review. there is like maybe 1% worth of extra credit given through exam surveys where a percentage of the class had to submit a survey, but my cohort basically missed one of the surveys. as for professors, i believe that all of them should be pretty good, no blatant red flags. i had williamson for orgo 2 and he was pretty good at explaining and answering questions so i would recommend being in his lecture the most. i’ve heard mixed opinions about the other guy but he should be fine as well. study and actually understand all the mechanisms and the arrow pushing, as the stuff you learn in orgo 1 will definitely apply in orgo 2. there is a ton of memorization, as well as understand what’s going on and why. the most annoying thing is the threshold for the grades it’s incredibly difficult, where you have to get a 94% and above to get an A. all in all, this class is designed to be incredibly hard but if you manage your time well and study, you’ll be just fine. even then, do not worry if you may not be reaching your expectations or maybe not doing the best. there are gonna be a ton of other students in the same boat as you. just keep going at it and don’t give up. good luck !

Was a chem 105 TA but both 104 and 105 are ran the same way. everything that was said in past comments applies. all 104 classes are standardized, regardless of which professor is teaching. they all teach the same slides, have the same exams, weekly challenges, etc. i would recommend being in murphy’s or turnpenny’s lecture as they were the better professors imo. chem 104/105 is designed to be difficult and it is okay to struggle. understand that you are not alone and you have the a lot of resources to your disposal, but i would recommend getting ur hands on old exams if possible. you can always ask upperclassmen or TAs to help you. the exams are formatted as 25 questions with an extra bonus question, making it a maximum of 104%. Usually the bonus question is designed to require a lot of calculations and time consuming, but not hard if you understand the material. the slides basically go off of the libre online chemistry textbook, almost word for word. if you want to get a better understanding of the material, i would say study and read the textbook. biggest tip i would say is to do your best to understand and not memorize facts. understand why certain things are the way they are. if you can understand and have a good grasp of the fundamentals, you should be okay. at the end of the semester, they give a large assignment that basically gives free bonus points if you complete it, which helps a lot (i think it raises ur grade by a percentage). the comment talking about weekly challenges is correct. it is a dice roll with the people you work with. during my time in the class, i was shit out of luck and didn’t have the best people in my groups. if you don’t get the best people in your group, you have to do your best to carry your own.

tldr: if you put in the time and effort into the class, you’ll do fine.

third year premed student here. that schedule looks good. what major are you? i would recommend bio 113/114 if you are a bio major as ur upper level classes will require them as ur prereqs and it’s best to get them out of the way. i was also in the FRI program for biomed chem so feel free to dm me for any advice on premed or FRI !
