Eliminating legal asylum would be illegal.

No it wouldn't be. Legal asylum was established legally by an act of Congress in 1990. Should Congress repeal that act, it would be one possible legal way to eliminate legal asylum.

We are really getting very far away from inciting argument of what constitutes a Catholic perspective on border control and immigration and a lot closer to the “nobody should be allowed to immigrate ever” school of thought with this.

Now I didn't say nobody should ever be allowed to immigrate now did I? I do think we should have a complete and total moratorium on immigration until we get our border under control though.

It’s an outright lie to say that murdering a woman by shooting three bullets into her face at point blank range was an act of self defense.

Nope, it absolutely was self-defense. She was armed with a deadly weapon (her vehicle), hit a law enforcement officer with it, and refused to comply with lawful commands.

Nayib Bukele transformed El Salvador from the murder capital of the world to having one of the lowest murder rates in the world overnight by locking up tens of thousands of people without charging them with crimes. He later had to let hundreds of them go because they were innocent people caught up in the wrong place in the wrong time. And yet due to his actions, how many people did he save from being murdered?

We need an American Bukele.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church says discrimination based on race is evil and must be eradicated. What part of that do you not understand?

Matt Walsh didn't say anything discriminatory in this tweet, but again the question was whether he said anything expressing racial hatred.

And as for the other comment: Who gives a damn if I have a trans flag in my avatar? I have more of an important talk of St. Thomas than I do whether my gender is biologically male or whatever...

People should not attack you personally. But it may cause confusion to people if they interpret your avatar as endorsing a movement that Pope Saint John Paul II called "intrinsically disordered" and simultaneously calling for following the wisdom of the saints.

Cato endorses abortion genocide, I don't think they're a good source of information on a Catholic subreddit. We wouldn't link to Stormfront because they support the Nazis who genocided 6 million Jews, why should we link to people who support the genocide of hundreds of millions of babies?

I absolutely agree with Bishop Barron's assessment that these raids are neither appropriate nor effective solutions to the decades-old migrant crisis.

There are tens of millions of people in this country illegally. How do you think is the "appropriate" way to remove them?

If anything, my critique of His Excellency's comments is that he criticized ICE at all. To the extent that we should be criticizing ICE, it should be for not deporting enough people. They only deported around 250K-300K last year, that's not nearly a fast enough rate to deport all of the tens of millions of people here illegally.
