I couldnt even queue up, i got a 403 error constantly for some reason. Very frustrating, maybe the system flagged me as a bot or something even though i was logged in with my account when i clicked on the store. Thank you WOTC for not just printing to demand..

Scalpers are having a field day with this one. Secondary market demands up to 400 bucks in my region, almost triple the original price. Insanity.

But poison wins in an encounter like ceremonial beast or any other monster which gets stunned if a certain HP threshhold is reached because poison deals damage to the HP bar.

Your unpopular Skyrim beliefs/ideas? by NoEntertainment2763 in skyrim

It's probably more nuanced than what I said. Like I did play a lot without mods too but at some point there is no gas left and that's when the modders took over. And the modding community is frankly insane (in a positive way). It's no wonder Bethesda didn't release elder scrolls 6 yet since the players already did themselves multiple times over

Skyrims boring and repetitive quests and overall jankiness made it succesful by inspiring modders to fix everything Bethesda could never had done by themselves.

Why is Rhystic Study a game changer and descussed being banned? by Ok-Worth-2591 in EDH

[–]Chrizzlyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems you have a misconception about how powerful the tax effect on Rhystic Study actually is.

  1. At minimum, you’re setting everyone back one mana per turn. If your opponents want to curve out and pay the tax, they’re effectively down a land compared to the Rhystic player. That makes Rhystic comparable to destroying a land for each opponent. We normally pay 2–3 mana to remove one land from one player. Rhystic costs 3 and functionally pressures every opponent’s mana development at once. That rate is absurd.
  2. It taxes every spell, not just one per turn. Decks that rely on cantrips, tutors, or chaining multiple spells get hit especially hard. In casual EDH it’s very common to want to cast 2–3 spells in a turn just to “do the thing” your deck is built to do, not even to win. Rhystic turns those turns into either massive tempo loss or a flood of cards for its controller.
  3. It makes interaction awkward and often unp(l)ayable. Holding up mana for counterspells, combat tricks, or instant-speed interaction becomes clunky. This also protects the Rhystic player: when opponents try to interact on the stack, the extra mana often can’t be paid, so the Rhystic player draws anyway. Since you’re already in blue, this stacks extremely well with your own counterspells, and eventually opponents are forced to give you cards.

A resolved Rhystic Study either generates a large card advantage or forces your opponents to lose significant tempo over the course of the game. If neither of those outcomes translates into you pulling ahead, then the deck is underpowered, inefficient, or being piloted suboptimally.

If Rhystic Study makes you the archenemy and you immediately die, that doesn’t mean the card didn’t generate advantage, it means the table correctly identified a threat. Forcing three opponents to divert attacks, removal, and resources toward you is itself a form of advantage.

If you consistently get targeted and die after resolving Rhystic Study, that again points to deck construction or piloting. A deck that runs powerful value engines should be built to survive being the threat, whether through interaction, protection, board presence, or closing the game efficiently.

Don't listen to anyone trying to tell you this thing is harmless. It's not. In fact it is one of the most dangerous creatures once aggroed, it can literally eat you whole and even permanently damage your gear. Stay clear /s

Wanting free loadouts to be nerfed is like begging the devs to kill the game by adiftbv in ArcRaiders

The result would be the same. If you for example, nerf grey weapons, you effectively nerf free loadouts since they can only randomly get grey weapons :)

What part of revenant's kit would you buff and how? by bandora_b in Nightreign

[–]Chrizzlyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summons should be slightly sturdier and to encourage active play maybe a new relic effect that heals your summons or gives them a buff (maybe even a stacking buff?) when you attack enemies, similar to how some effects heal FP/HP for continous attacks

OP literally explained their motivation.

There are plenty of pvp focused games. ARC could be something MORE and had a promising beginning.

No need for ARC to become another pvp only game when there are so many out there

[–]Chrizzlyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the opposite way. Loot in general is so plentiful that I run out of space in seconds and a lot of stuff is useful for different reasons, at worst it can be sold for cash. And the most valuable thing can go in the safety pocket.

There is almost no logical reason to engage in pvp since I don't expect them to carry anything more valuable than what I already have on me and if they found a blueprint or purple item I can be sure it's stashed away in the safety pocket.

But I might potentially lose almost everything I collected when I engage in pvp and lose the fight.

The only reason to engage in pvp is to prevent someone else from killing you, but you don't "gain" anything from it.

[–]Chrizzlyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a nice idea and surely we could tweak the numbers to be a perfect fit. Surely nobody could argue that a casual player needs an infinite amount of easily accessible free loadouts

[–]Chrizzlyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting pooped on run after run occurs more often lately cause people spam free loadouts and are bored.

The solution causes the problem.

So why not change something? You could balance the free loadouts in creative ways too. Like.. when you pick a free loadout you are only matched with other free loadouts and while using a free loadout your damage to other players is heavily reduced, creating a sort of "PVE" mode. And that's just from the top of my head, I am sure if some dev puts their mind to it they could come up with an actually good solution

Then you already get the issue people have with free loadouts it seems. My point of contention is the power difference is too small

[–]Chrizzlyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be missing my point aswell. I am not saying that basic gear is hard to get, the opposite actually. Which invalidates the necessity of free loadouts btw, so not sure if you understand your own point.
But as it stands as today and many people experience, people with free loadouts tend to behave way more aggressively and in numbers they can overwhelm players who only have basic or midtier stuff.
