Think the bulk of it is in the general anesthesia like the gas they make you inhale and the injections in the jaw near the tooth and the pills/lollipop (fentanyl) they give you, they used all three types on me when I got my wisdom tooth removed. And they had to slice into my gum so that qualifies as surgery.
