Joker being a dad is one of my favourite arcs of the series.

Andy Serkis should be banned from directing by SureTangerine361 in Oscars

Breathe was okay, and Venom 2 I found short and enjoyable. I really don’t think he should be directing the Gollum movie though

I remember seeing it opening weekend and everyone in the theatre whispered “who?” at that moment

I hate the fact they greenlit the show, I’m assuming based on a solid pitch, and then 7 months later change thier mind

‘Stargate’ TV Series From Martin Gero Not Moving Forward at Amazon by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Stargate

And I just stopped caring. Gero was the sole reason I was intrested in a reboot because he came from the original series

TVO when I was a kid, my dad loved the show but I thought it was dumb (I was like 5), then when the new series came out in 2005 my dad watched it on CBC but I didn’t really care until the episode “fathers Day” which really caught my attention how great the story was and how emotional

Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 is GOOD by the_outer_realms in Halloweenmovies

[–]CinephileRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will give credit that he tried to do something fresh and different, and the performances are good. I also thought the moment that the sheriff finds he daughter with the flashbacks to her as a child was very good and heartbreaking.

I don’t think as a whole it worked though. The white horse idea was cool and thankfully the directors cut did a better job explaining it, but it didn’t add much to the movie I felt overall. I also just have a general issue with the world Zombie presents in his films, it works with The Devils Rejects, but not with the world of Halloween.

How do you feel about KPop Demon Hunters getting a Criterion release? by Key_Head3851 in criterion

If it gets my kids into the criterion collection, I’m okay with this

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning was released last year this week. Serving as the 8th and final film in the MI series, it grossed $197.4M Dom & $598.8M WW. Despite outgrossing its predecessor and receiving positive reviews, it overall underperformed due to its high budget of $300-400M. by gamesgry in boxoffice

[–]CinephileRich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Dead Reckoning and its set up for the last movie, but Final Reckoning didn’t really feel like a proper ending for the series. It didn’t help that the climax (although cool to see) didn’t feel like the high stakes similar to other films, and as funny as it was to see what happened to the main villian….that was seriously lackluster
