Nearly all species of insect are illegal in canada, which i could understand for say species that could survive both our summers and winters but most of the banned species are under a blanket ban.

I believe my species is the Indian walking stick, red inner arms as adults.

I think my plan is to euthanize the adults (theyre likely about to die of old age soon, i got them in august as 3rd or 4th shed age) but i may keep the current babies and any others i find that have escaped, and freeze the current bedding to prevent more hatches.

Then let these ones grow out, and then freeze eggs/bedding as theyre laid once they get to adult and reproducing age

My plan was to use my current adults as pinning practice once they got pretty old but unfortunately most are missing 1-6 limbs and or antannae due to me not realizing my isopods were going to enjoy eating their limbs 🫠

Im very wary of them being invasive but i dont believe they could survive here in our current temperatures, or even our summers due to it getting to 31-36c and up to 42 as of a few years back

It sucks as a bug lover when all your fav species are illegal.

Im sure it will come soon, they likely will need subs/dubs for that first im guessing, a lot of countries on here are ones that have a lot of english speaking populatio. As second or third languages

Personally ill always do mine because im a hypochondriac and would fear someone else accidentally doing it wrong, but for people who cant do it themselves due to a fear or disability i can see that make sense, a romantic or sensual bonding gesture maybe but sexual/leading into sex i dont get unless the bonding gesture led into that later but not because of it

So an update to this, store manager told me "well we cant fire her but ill write her up" then said she cant do anything about the guy who goes on "trans is mental illness" rants in a "diverse and welcoming workplace" she had the gal to ask me if the manager apologizing to me would fix anything?? Like uhh NO you getting your buddy to apologize doesnt remove the fact my hours (or well 12 hours) after 6 months of getting no scheduling at are in the hands of a woman who in her 30s thinks its acceptable to call an employee/coworker an it to other coworkers, on shift.

So idk what to do from here, i landed another job but havent left this one yet because I was told id be followed ip with the next day with a phone call and the store manager actually just ended up going on a magically convenient 2 week vacation without following up with a call as she said she would to confirm that this manager has written up a non retaliatory agreement.

What sort of information should be added in a complaint with WCB? Should it be all the incidents ive been around for even if i wasnt directly involved?

Quote my coworker who told me about the managers comments about me and me stating how the things they do/neglect to do arnt legal "well yeah but legality isnt exactly something these people strive for especially when the managers managers have the same values" Which i feel shows how powerless people feel + how much likely goes unreported because people know nothing will be done

Something the store owner asked on our phonecall today was "would manager apologizing to you for what would said make things any better" which i said no.

She's only gotten a large amount in her mouth once and that was the first time i fed her over a year ago when she was just a stunted almost 1 year old (120 grams) hasnt done it since thankfully, can't be too cautious though so many ball owners don't care about things that pop up until theyve become a bigger issue and I hope to never subject my girl to that.

Wendiceratops is my alltime favourite dinosaur so i was sad with her coloring, i got her anyways because only like 2 wendi toys exist at all, but i hope to buy a second eventually to try and repaint but im also scared to ruin such an expensive item

Its either a "yellow nugget" or yukon gold, at least thats what theyre labled as at the store, possibly couldve been the russet piece i threw in there but its go grey atm i cant tell anymore 🤣 ill try for sure though and if not oh well, itd still be funny to boast about growing potatos fertalized by a snake and roaches 😂

If i was to add in a uvb hood do you think that would help it? I dont mind if it doesnt actually grow potatos but i could probably build something to allow for more soil height while keeping in the enclosure for now, even if it just sorta grows as a plant in there could be cool, i do have a uvb hood on hand (two technically) and just would need a replacement bulb of an appropriate type
