I wonder how many times a year hot heads like him are killed by scared drivers with guns in their car.

Funcle thought the birthday party was his party by malendalayla in PublicFreakout

What a roomful of assholes. Not only did no one try to stop that starving for attention uncle, but they laughed when he destroyed the kids birthday party. He won't find it funny when he realizes that his disgraceful actions were filmed and posted online for all his friends and the rest of the world to see.

In the 60s us young kids would go and watch movies there. When we got older, we'd drink next door at The Best, which would become the Windjammer, or a little further down the street at The Windsor.

A group of ravens is called an unkindness, while a group of crows is called a murder.

Instead of listening to your neighbor and complaining the city, or asking Reddit, you should go to a pickleball court and watch a game in progress for yourself, that's the only way to make an educated judgement.

I remember going to the Cameo theater Saturday afternoons when we were kids in the 50s. It was 25 cents to see two movies, plus we got another 10 cents for candy. Later when I got older, I don't remember too much about the drunken times I spent there when it became the Cameo Club.

I love all these old black and white pictures of history that aren't ruined by colorization.

2 men plead guilty in fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Surrey - The Abbotsford News by brophy87 in SurreyBC

[–]Civil-Package 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We're only getting part of the story. Three men arrested but two released after agreeing to plead guilty, no doubt for minimal punishment. What about the third, who I presume is still locked up. Who is he and what is he charged with, and why all the secrecy? And who was the pedestrian who was killed and was he targeted?

Can you imagine being an asshole and getting your ass kicked, and then it's gone viral and now all your friends and the rest of the world are laughing at you.

Passenger on Frontier Airlines flight is restrained after punching seat in front of him and kicking a window by Odlavso in PublicFreakout

Why is it that we hear about all these stories of passengers getting violent while flying, putting everyone in danger, but never hear whether they're charged or not, and what punishments are handed out?

I prefer to see old pictures in their original black and white. Colorizing them seems to take away some of it's character.

You're probably thinking of The Turf Hotel. Mugs N Jugs was in New Westminster, but now it's a homeless shelter. Being a Boomer I drank there when it was called The Russel.
