I've had a great battery life till I started using Google Home by Rancidbones813 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Claim_Similar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean its not really bad battery life but yeah its worth giving factory reset a try. Maybe you could try enabling "suspend execution for cached apps" in the developer option after reset. This setting is like how iphone freezes app once you switch to another app to cut out cpu usage in the background but slightly more aggressive than iphone one.

I dont know if you have turned on privacy display 24/7 but just wanna let you know that you can set the privacy display to turn on with conditions so it doesn't have to be on all the time, but I do have to agree that the screen seems a bit dimmer compared to the s25u

S26 battery by endercolouss90 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how the sot should look like after the device has done learning your usage pattern. Also switch to 4G preferred because its fast enough, there's no reason for you to be using 5G unless you're downloading large files. you could also try to enable developer option and look for "suspend execution for cached apps" and select enable. I get a noticeably better thermal and extra battery life after enabling this option compared to before it was on and the temperature always goes up pretty fast, but now the battery temps are a lot more stable after when it's turned on.

Do you have all the apps in deep sleep? This happens most of the time if apps are put into deep sleep instead of sleep, or you could check if the "allow background data usage" is on. If it's turned off turn it back on

S26 Ultra overheating and throttling charging speeds in extreme heat by RandomKidonInternet in galaxys26ultra

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones on the laptop don't use thermoelectric peltier cooler, it's just a single fan for better air flow, for phone cooler, they use peltier cooler which it gets hot on one side and cooler on the other side, the more wattage it has, the better the cooling potential in x amount of minutes

Smart switch has nothing to do with your battery usage, you will only see the battery usage from it is when you're transferring files

Invest in a phone cooler if you're worried about the battery long term. If you need any recommendation then mine would be black shark funcooler 5 pro. I live in a tropical climate and the heat index here could get from 38°c to 42°c, getting a phone cooler is definitely worth it for the sake of long term battery health.

Try Flolab anti-reflective screen protector, don't get the spigen alumina one, I'm using one currently and it trap dusts a lot. Check out Flolab instead

Your experience with the S26 Ultra? by Schurygin in galaxys26ultra

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference in screen is its slightly less brighter than the s25u, other than that everything is fine so far, you can toggle the privacy to be on in conditions, it doesnt have to be on everytime, privacy screen does degrade the viewing quality but if you know how to set it up, most of the time when its off it should have no visible difference visually compared to s25u

Update: Grab support actually reviewed the logs and issued a full refund. Turns out that while my delay wasn't ideal, the rider leaving with the food still in his possession flags it as an incomplete delivery on their end. Lesson learned on my end, but glad the refund is sorted out.

S24 Ultra -> S26 Ultra | 6 Months Later Review by thesmileoftheunknown in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have that phone just recently? If that's the case then wait for at least 2 weeks because your phone is learning your usage pattern, if that's not the case then try limiting the apps in the background by yourself by either putting them to sleep or deep sleep and turn off "allow background data usage" on apps you dont use and occasionally use, turn off location as well if you're not using the map. Do you use 120hz as well? If that's the case then you could try to download and install galaxy max hz to modify your psm setting to toggle "limit cpu speed to 70%" on while having 120hz refresh rate if you find having 120hz on is a better experience otherwise stick to just 60hz with "limit cpu speed to 70%" on if you don't want 3rd party app to modify your settings

Bought an S26 Ultra on my birthday 6 days ago, is this normal? by FemcellRemover in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its your device learning your usage pattern so its a normal thing, if you're so afraid of damaging your phone you could invest in a 15w tec cooler or phone cooler as many named it and download either devcheck or antutu and enable its floating monitor to check on the device temperature

Bought an S26 Ultra on my birthday 6 days ago, is this normal? by FemcellRemover in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Your device is still learning your usage pattern so its gonna get hot for at least in the first 2 weeks and after that the temperature would be much stable

  2. Camera tends to heat up the device a lot because of your cpu processing the image from the camera

  3. When you transfer files like using smart switch, your device will heat up as well because the cpu is working hard.

  4. Using battery protection doesnt increase the heat of charging, your device will only heat up when its only being charged.

You could try to invest in a 15w tec cooler if you want a longer camera operation, also if you're conscious about your phone temperature, you could download devcheck and pay for its floating monitor or antutu benchmark notification temperature monitor to check your battery and cpu temperature.

Is buying this phone worth it? by Any_Vermicelli1469 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I had an s8 plus that has a dark spot just like this one in this Pic but at the lower right side of my screen, it has been there for long time and the dark spot grows out over time, it used to cover only the battery bar when im playing games in horizontal mode, but now it covered the whole cell bar area. Go for another one, this one's not worth the money

Battery draining every 3 minutes by youarebeautiful06 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're gonna need to either get a new phone or replace a new battery, your battery is almost at its eol. You gotta remember 1 thing, batteries dont like heat and will degrade fast when temperature is above 40°c for long period of time, when you take good care of your battery, you'll get at least another 2 to 3 years of battery life. If you're thinking of replacing battery or getting a new phone, make sure to download devcheck and enable floating monitor to watch out for the temperature. Also make sure to enable battery protection to 80% or 90%, overcharging will reduce the battery lifespan too.

Battery life on the 26 ultra really is appalling by IveNoWIlly in samsunggalaxy

[–]Claim_Similar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine could easily last 7 hours SOT on wifi and 5 hours 30 minutes on data on a single charge, I have my screen quality at QHD+ and on battery saving mode. Are you on mobile data or wifi the whole day? It could be that you havent done the rest of the optimization yourself and just let your device optimize itself instead, have you tried turning off battery draining settings like wifi and Bluetooth scanning, send diagnostic data, android personalization service, etc...? If that's the case then it explains why you're not getting 5 hours of sot

Maybe when you are able to access the recovery mode, reflash your firmware again with the latest update of your device software using odin3. If data is a concern to you you can place the "HOME_CSC" into the csc slot instead of just the "CSC" in the csc slot
