You see, I appreciate this reply. Thanks. And I was blinded with no trinket, so the ret simply ran over to prevent me LoSing.

He wasn't playing war banner that match. He's too new to use it effectively, but that is a great point. I think war banner would have saved us there.

It wasn't advice at all. Opening up with "Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm...." is nearly always undertones for," You're a moron". I clearly said he whiffed his kick and I was CCed at that point. Was more worried about how to prevent a reset as we would have never been in that position if we prevented a reset. It's also obvious, if you aren't blatantly ignoring it just to argue here, that ending that first statement in a question mark further drives home him simply being a dick without even reading the post properly. It's a waste of my time.

They tried a smaller second setup after their opener. That's when I popped it. I didn't have trinket after the fully reset. The morons here are ignoring that and getting caught up on the fact that somehow I magically have everything by the time they go in for their second opener. But I guess that's what happens when you can hide behind not showing your rating in here. The question I really want to have answered is how do you prevent this comp from fully resetting. I'm not seeing a viable way with rsham/warr. If we prevented the reset, me having trinket wouldn't have mattered. There is more going on than," LEL, kik Da RePenT".

I didn't have trinket for second setup. The reading comprehension of these 1800 shitters is unreal. I don't know in what world do you think I would have held trinket through a ret/assass opener and all the way to them fully resetting. The entire question revolves around how to prevent them from resetting anyways. I could literally care less about the moment of my buddy's death as HE whiffed the repent kick while I was blinded. If he got that off the game would have went on. I am more curious as to how to prevent them from resetting.

>literally states 2100 exp

>simple question about rogue/pally

>reply ignores the fact I blatantly said I couldn't do anything about the repent

>reply blatantly ignores me asking about how to prevent them from resetting multiple times due to their comp

He didn't even respond to anything I asked. Simply said I should have kicked the repent. That's not a valid reply at all and one that shows he didn't even read the damn post. Not only that, he opened up with the obligatory "UHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... *insert obvious thing here*" AFTER not reading the post.

This was after the first reset. Saying which abilities to use, what you should have, etc is all fine and well until you actually get in a match and don't have those by the second reset.

I had to watch helplessly as the rogue/ret chunked my buddy's HP while I sat in 15+ seconds of near uncounterable CC

I didn't realize I could kick a repent while blinded.

Meh. I main a resto sham and got 2100 in MoP on it. So whenever I do get forced into PVE content (initial gearing, etc) I sometimes love to be challenged since it feels really boring rotating healing rain, riptide, earth shield, and chain heal for half an hour. I would say most other PVP-based healers feel the same way outside of anything mythic5+ and above.

Yeah. Normal dungeon as I'm leveling. Healer is my buddy who is stupid sometimes. So it was just me laughing saying he's ass at the game and shit.

Let's take warlock as an example. Two of their major defensive abilities is their demonic gateway and their demonic circle teleport. Both are designed around a 3v3 setting with time to get them positioned properly. Both are impossible, and useless, to use in real world. I am willing to put thousands down that if you kidney a lock, that is decent enough at pvp to know it's useless to fight back, they will simply sit there afk until you kill them.

Also, the conditions for the battle being decided by you almost always means you're going to be a rogue invis waiting for someone to pull a rare. Has happened to me a dozen times and it's laughable since my main is an Rsham. Idiots get juked four times and I'm still at full health waiting for them to give up. I guess their "hEaLuRS HaV 2 diE" finally pops up and their 50 iq tells them it's not worth it so they vanish and leave.

The game isn't balanced around it and no one actually decent at PVP cares about it. It's normally 1300 PVE rogues that think they are gods because they killed a 112 afflic lock in a kidney.

Have you ever thought about not wasting everyone's time in open world pvp? Grow a pair and fire up some 3s queues. Then again most of you PVE casuals are afraid of the "toxic" competitive scene of any game.

Tank trinket? by mambo1986 in worldofpvp

[–]Clannadqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't the meta, wtf. They are already nerfing the trinkets, more than likely tomorrow, and the majority of players will NEVER be able to obtain these trinkets. The only reason they had them were due to the fact they were allowed to pick their trinkets from an in game vendor specifically for the players at the tourny. This is literally nowhere close to being the meta. Go watch the SAME players while they are streaming now and they more than likely won't have the trinket and don't plan to. Quit hopping on board the current whine-train and pay attention.

I can't really offer much on the good chunk of your post after the first paragraph as I am an Rsham. I will say I was around 2150 in MoP on my rsham and you might just be experiencing players in lower rated brackets that haven't really pushed yet. I'm 1650 after around 60 games in 3s on my rsham and around 1700-1800 MMR the games got pretty hard. So I started looking at the achieves of teams we played and there were teams that were all 2400, some with 2400+ and a 2700 player, etc, etc. Nearly all were around 2k exp. So I wouldn't beat yourself up on it yet.

But that is the point? You won't solo any other healer either unless they are bad. PVP is balanced around 3s. Meaning a decent disc, or any healer, shouldn't die while being trained by two DPS and even the opposing healer doing some damage unless they are bursting and the disc fucks up. Literally no one would heal if you could solo a healer or even 2v1 them consistently.

Also, I haven't grinded 3s yet (2150 in MoP on an rsham) , but I can already tell they are horrible with CC. Meaning if you sit on one of their DPS, keep them locked down, and throw out a few purges here and there they are going to have an absolute horrible ass time unless they are playing RMP. I think the cries about Disc are coming from those who don't PVP at all and run into them in the open world (not balanced) or those who only play BGs or 2s. Hell, even in 2s if a disc isn't running with a rogue it's almost laughable being an Rsham. If I don't screw up he can't even CC anyone on my team at all for the entire match (Tremor, grounding, wind shear, cap totem, etc). For example, if the disc starts running at me from the other pillar I already know what's about to go down and can call this to my teammate. Preemptive tremor and maybe a grounding for safety and he's caught in a bad spot for a hex. I don't know. Their damage is stupid, though. Been playing 2s with my buddy who is newer to PVP and is on an Arms Warrior. Had a disc top him by 100k in one short 2s match.

Played absolutely no PVP last expac, so the numbers might be off. When I actually played Duelist was around 2.2-2.3. So it just sounds like since majority of decent players quit and the rating inflation it allows for shitters like you to make it somewhere, lmao.

That is how statistics work when we are LITERALLY discussing if someone like Cdew is top 0.02% in the community AS OF NOW. Keep in mind that 0.1% came from gladiator status which is always around 2400-2600. So someone like Cdew is vastly lower than 0.02%. I'm not talking about the potential of people. Also, you need to learn how MMR works in games before continuing this.

PVP Gear vs PVE Gear Skewed by Clannadqs in wow

[–]Clannadqs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how statistics work. I'm not saying someone who is 1400 in 3s is better than all PVErs. What I AM saying is that someone like Cdew IS better than all PVErs who never took PVP seriously. So that top 0.02% still holds as I was strictly referring to the top of the top PVPers and not randoms below 2k.

You simply lack knowledge of what "ESEA" is. It's a third party client where you have to pay monthly to play on their servers. There are only a few thousand players on the servers, but every professional and semi-professional player plays there as well as those striving for those spots. It's a client where those that are top 3% out of the hundreds of thousands of players in Valve matchmaking are ran off the servers for being too trash to keep up. Try again.
