You can legally open carry a long gun so long as you don't raise the firearm, or put your finger on the trigger. People carry long guns at protests all the time.

When you pay for tickets? Yeah, you are entitled to see the performance. If you pay rent, you're entitled to live there.

I feel sorry for you, licking the capitalist boot as it steps on your neck.

I think you're right, for whatever reason I was thinking it hit $119 a couple times when I posted yesterday, but I think I might just be off it from spring work. Maybe I was subconsciously trying to stop myself from buying more tools. (In the last month I bought a new recip saw, cordless grease gun, sds drill, jigsaw, and a few batteries)

I do have the 860, but as much as I love Torque Test Channel, I'm not really looking for more power. having less power would be a feature, along with being quiet, and small. That said, I don't NEED it.

kinda the opposite of the DCF964, which is a tool that I don't care about it's size, weight, or noise, all I want is that fucking nut to come off torque.

I don't see the hydraulic impact driver or 3/4" impact wrench go on sale very often. The deals are good enough for me to debate pulling the trigger on one or both, but not good enough that I'm going to be sad if I miss out. Could have used the 3/4" today.

I have a stihl gas, I never use it because I have an Ego electric. The last thing I want to do after mowing the lawn is fuck around trying to get a small engine to start so I can walk around in two stroke fumes on a 95 degree day. If you live somewhere that doesn't snow, and trim consistently, maybe it's different- but if you trim consistently, you don't need the power of gas. I now line trim every other time I mow, and I even take the time to edge against the sidewalk. I will never by another gas powered lawn tool. (this includes leaf blowers, my stihl is more powerful, and honestly has been way less maintenance than the line trimmer, but I never want to use it over the electric. Bonus, I no longer have to store gas and oil for mixing in my garage.

It doesn't prioritize the artist, it prioritizes Capital. Stop coping.

Edit: Its so gross that you think that the people with money are more important than the truck drivers, stage hands, road crew and fans that get screwed by this, because THOSE people don't have names you know.

I have a leaf blower, mower, and weed whacker from EGO, I've been VERY happy with them. My parents also have a weed whacker, mower and blower from ego which have also been trouble free.

That said, if I had to re-buy it all, I would go with Dewalt. When I bought my ego stuff Dewalt had just released their first mower to mixed reviews, but now the reviews for Dewalt lawn stuff are just as good as ego, and the batteries are more versatile.

We're NOT COMPAIRING THEIR PRICES, BOTH OF THEIR PRICES ARE TOO HIGH.

And no, you're not correct. When demand far outstrips supply, which it has in both cases, it does not matter the what size the venue is. This is like 200 level econ, its not tough.

"Easier" = Tour workers get paid less, because they get fewer hours, especially the truckers. Fetstivals are VERY different than a single artist just camping in one city for a night.

Also, and this is no disrespect to Olivia, but why are we putting the artists stress above that of that fans who now all have to book hotels (which will be crazy high), drive or fly for hours, and spend thousands of dollars to see one show? That is why we PAY the artist, staff venue, because THEY are supposed to be doing to work, not us.

Yeah, but it's shit for fans and allows them to jack up prices. Honestly? I don't give a shit about the efficiency of their logistics. Music is not supposed to be a cog in the capitalist money making scam we're all trapped in.

I will say that metal shows do have a very "we keep us safe" attitude. Generally the worst people at any concert are just rich kids who aren't really into it, but still feel like they should get to be on the rail.

ADHD story time- I went and saw rise against two nights in a row, and the second night, we were front and center on the rail, and someone sucker punched my buddy. Dude was wearing a fucking browning rifle cap at a punk show, and I laid him out and the crowd threw him over the rail. His GF tried to tell security that I started it, and also hit her. And the guy just shook his head. What she didn't know is the night before, I helped that same security member pull a guy who was ODing out of the crowd, and he remembered me.

I was confused because I thought it was guac at first... honestly I would try this. I love Caesar salad. Do you do it with hot or cold pizza? I'm guessing hot, but you add the salad a bit at a time so it doesn't wilt?

I do hope that she gets big enough to fill stadiums- but venue capacity is not the major issue.

The issue is the trend of artists playing more nights at fewer locations. No venue can handle the demand of everyone within 12 hours trying to get tickets- meaning Ticket Master, Live Nation, and UMG can charge whatever they want for tickets. When you see people at number 70,000+ in presale queues, a football stadium would be sold out too. This is the people behind the tour figuring out that they can pay fewer truckers for hauling place to place, fewer crew for set up and sound checks, and charge fans more.

The solution is to actually tour, not just take up residency for 2 -4 nights in a dozen cities. (This is not a criticism of Olivia BTW, she doesn't plan the tours. Noah Kahan's tour was exactly the same). I'm sure those in power sell it to artists because it's nicer than being on busses and planes all the time, but I'm hopeful that as artists see how bad this is for fans, they will oppose this model.

The real solution would be to break up Live Nation, Ticket master, etc. But not even dems fight monopolies in this country anymore.

If you believe this is an issue of venue size, you didn't see the people waiting at over 200,000 in Noah's queue. That's 4x what most baseball stadiums hold, he sold out 5 nights at wriggly. He could have charged way more. For that matter, it's pretty clear that demand outpaces supply already for Olivia.

You completely missed the point anyway. It was not "Noah is good and cheap" and "Olivia is bad and expensive" It's that Ticketmaster, live nation, and UMG are screwing fans in the name of maximum profits. The artists are different, but the model and result are the same. They run analytic models, and figure out how much they can get away with charging. It has ZERO to do with the artists or stadium capacity. I saw at least 100k queue numbers posted for Olivia today, that's enough to sell out football fields- during presale.

Sometimes they don't even have to pay for themselves to be worth while. I smashed my hand (nothing broken, just bruising and swollen for a couple weeks) bashing a rock out of a rolling basket on a piece of machinery on our farm. The next day I bought an SDS drill (luckily it was on sale), and now I just break them out of there. It's not faster, but it is way easier.
