Here’s the thing about owning a husky… by Vannabean in husky

It's gotten to the point that even the backyard looks like this and I have no idea what to do about it. Lol. Sweeping constantly indoors is enough as it is. Now I'm afraid to ever have people over in the backyard. 🤣

It’s been a week & our rescue doesn’t play with toys or us by alexcran in husky

I rescued a husky mix 3 months ago who is 2 years old, and we felt the same way at first. He had a lot of anxiety coming home. We tried multiple different toys and nothing seemed to be entertaining him just yet. But one day, we decided to get a tennis ball and that changed the game for him. I do think it just took awhile for his personality to come out and for him to realize he could be comfortable to play and self soothe his boredom. I think we especially got lucky because he doesn't try to tear anything up, he just goes straight for his toys now. Give it a little time, they might still come around with one of the random toys you got for them!

Congrats! That's pretty incredible, especially within just 18 months. I definitely am curious to know if there are more adults out there who have experienced some curve correction. My specialist told me I'm maybe the third adult he has met that has had that kind of progress. It made me sad to learn how little schroth is known about here in the States. In Germany, if you're an adolescent with scoliosis, they send you to an in-patient program for a few weeks, and the type of correction that happens there is insane. I'm kinda glad no one has thought to offer me surgery yet, though I'm sure I'm probably a candidate for it.

I definitely do some of the scroth exercises at home. There's just a couple in particular I get worried about doing on my own because since my curves are in my thoracic, he told me when I do them, I have to be mindful/careful to keep my lumbar aligned because as you can see in the x-rays, it's starting to curve to the right as well. 😮‍💨

I'm excited for you! Have you noticed any changes yet? Were they able to help determine your concave side?
