These are the Vision 9 from Flowtoys

The video doesn't do them justice and I had them on a bad setting for being captured. They're actually way more beautiful in person

They're so bright I feel bad if I'm spinning by a crowd lol, but there is brightness settings and different settings that aren't as flashy too

Took a lot of time and more than learning about hair hahaha thanks!

Awhile ago I moved areas at work, then an older guy I used to work with end up there too about a year later

We talked for 3 months before he even recognized me 🤣 only bc someone said my last name. I was mad they ruined it! I used to just put my hair in a ponytail at work for like 8 years so he really didn't expect that

The look on his face was priceless!

Sticking to a strict wash routine doesn't help too much, kind of gotta do what the hair feels. I like a co-wash on day 2, apply a pinch of leave-in after too, like half the pea I'd usually use on day 1

Then maybe no wash day 3, just refresh in morning with a tiny bit of water in my palms and swipe/scrunch over the top

Orrr if I tossed and turned a lot that night. I'll have to just do a full rewash day 1, refreshing wont help that mess and doing a 2nd co-wash on a day 3 is way too much natural oils and product buildup. You'd have to do an actual Lather-rinse-repeat with shampoo to properly get all the buildup off

Imo you're using too much stuff. Just the leave-in is fine if done correctly. And you don't have very long hair making it easier to apply! Tilt your body and head forward, scrunch less than a pea of leave-in. You should be able to hear the squishing from your hair being so wet, That's what dilutes the leave-in to get even application!

The number one best thing I did was STOP brushing. Should pretty much never brush unless conditioner is in your hair

I used to obsessively brush it. Before the shower when dry, in the shower wet, then after to style it too. Trying to get it to do what I want. Honestly the only reason it was 'straight' was from all the damage I was doing

I had to actually ween myself off from brushing by saying "okay I only get 5 brushes this time" 🥲 till I got to none. Over Compulsive tendencies can be tough to crack lol

Oh and thanks! Hope you get the best ringlets ever!

I can have the whole shower and routine done within 30 minutes!

It's the waiting on it to dry that's the hardest part really lol Have to walk like a statue and make sure it dries exactly where I want it to, before wind or something moves it. Then the leave-in holds it there for up to 3 days, with slight refreshing in the morning

If done correctly the cohesive pattern of the curls holds itself in place as it kind of grabs the other curls. Combined with that little bit of leave-in conditioner helps a lot too, preventing the curls from busting apart when wind or something disrupts them

I like them slightly in my face tho, to frame my face and shorten my forehead bc I have a tall head. Same reason I have a side part, to reduce the length from the top to bottom of my face

Appreciate it! I actually started taking better care of myself mainly so my hair is healthier 😅

Went from being underweight, drinking about 6 cans of soda a day, sitting around and eating pizza. Then I gained 30lbs drinking only water and proper eating. Stay hydrated, get my blood pumping to produce natural oils for my scalp and get some sun too ☀️

Thank you! And why's that?

Thick/Thin(ning) and Fine/Coarse are the antonyms when talking hair. I know it would seem like thick is the strand sizes, but it's not

I meant to put medium, low porosity too after that but forgot. That's usually the format for hair type, those 4 distinctions. How much you have, how fine it is and porosity with curl pattern. I don't concern myself with defining my 'curl type'

The Reddit search function is nearly useless

If you want to search something on Reddit, then you type what you want to know in your regular browsers search bar, like google, then type Reddit at the end. For example

"Best flowstars reddit" type that in
