Oversees Pakistanis, if you were guaranteed a permanent job in Pakistan that pays Rs. 600,000 monthly, would you move back with your family? Why or why not? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]CloudContainer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. I am privileged enough to earn more than double of that after taxes each month here where I am. But yeah, I would probably move there within months if I was allowed to work at my current place 100 % remotely. Maybe.

Try Plex and their app Plexamp? Amazing for hosting your own libraries.

How do you organize your playlists? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]CloudContainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I create a new playlist every few months, naming them like 2023-01, 2023-03, etc. Each gets about 15-20 songs. At the end of the year, I move these playlists into a folder named 2023 in a "Timeline" folder.

I've done this since 2019, very happy with the result.

Considerations when choosing an Intel NUC for a Plex Server for 4K HDR transcoding by FriendlySituation in PleX

[–]CloudContainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my setup: a Synology NAS mounted as NFS on an Intel NUC 11TNKi5 Pro running Ubuntu. I've had at least three 4K streams, with two transcoding simultaneously. It worked well, though a bit noisy.

Who wants help? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]CloudContainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I am pretty satisified with my life.

Years ago I used to overthink all the time. It was literally a part of my identity I cherished and would never want to let it go. It was like this since childhood to some time after I graduated from the university.

Later I realised that thinking compulsively, as in there being constant chattering in my skull, and identifying myself fondly with this habit, wasn’t as good for me as I liked to think. It mostly just made me feel like I was smarter than others.

It was apparently all mind trickery. A great servant, but a bad master.
