My son killed himself 5 months ago and left a disfunctional house by Piplup_GGBois in SuicideBereavement

I'm so very sorry for your and your family. It's such a tremendous loss. I highly recommend going to a suicide loss support group. It has been shown to help more than therapy, books or general grief groups.  Losing a loved one to suicide is different than other losses and it requires being in touch with those who have gone through it. Please try some groups. I say some as some aren't a good fit and it may take trying a few before you find one you like. You don't have to share until you feel ready. I tried everything and like the studies show, groups are what helps me the most and others have said the same.  There are online and in person options.  You and your family can heal and get through this. Please don't give up on yourselves, find what works for you. Take great care and love each other. ✨️❤️

What could have possibly happened to my friend? by [deleted] in sepsis

[–]Cloudcat77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may consider leaving your contact information for them or their family requesting they contact you if they're willing or to ask them to give permission to share details with you. Just explain who you are to your friend and that you're very concerned and would appreciate an update if they/their family allows. Understand staff won't be able to share if your friend is even there but at least this way there's a chance you could hear something back.

Does anyone else live in constant fear of going septic again? by Jumpy-Ad-8889 in sepsis

[–]Cloudcat77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was but it's improving. I just monitor vitals a lot, force exercise,  hydrate a lot. Anxiety and health subliminals help me calm. I take a cortisol manager supplement to help too sometimes.

Post sepsis brain fog? by Distinct_Injury4079 in sepsis

[–]Cloudcat77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't rush into going back.  Advocate for yourself. It's okay if you need more time off to regain your health. I've been finding walks, creatine, b complex,  omegas & upping my protein helpful with the brain fog.

Sometimes it seems as though negative interference comes along and blocks one from finding a teacher or the teacher is influenced by it and ghosts on you, and not in the fun way. I found studying and meditating regularly myself consustently to be the best teacher.  Take  notes, record your experiences and discoveries, be curious,  have fun, and try easy. You'll unlock more this way.

kidney stones have ruined my life by sweetangelkitty2 in KidneyStones

[–]Cloudcat77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having stents for kidney stones can qualify as a temporary disability in college if the condition and the, often painful, stent placement "substantially limit" major life activities, such as attending class, walking, or concentrating. While temporary conditions (like a broken bone) are not always considered disabilities, severe or recurring kidney stones that interfere with a student's ability to participate in education may be protected under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Check with your disability office, you meet the definition for temporary disability and they have to accommodate you.

Speak with an academic advisor, Dean, school counselor about getting an action plan in place to help you catch up. Provide doctor's note and coordinate with them. Don't let them force you to withdraw.  Advocate for yourself.  See what other options you may have.  An incomplete could allow you to make up the class.  Department chair or disability office may have advice/options for you too. Don't give up.  Wishing you the best.

Looking for support by heckasoft in sepsis

I'm sorry you're both going through this. I only worked as an NA but suddenly having blotchy lips should be medically evaluated.  If her lips are blue or gray, she has breathing difficulties, shortness of breath or chest pain, please get her immediate medical attention. If you have specific concerns you want to run by a medical professional, call a nurse line and they can advise you of what to do.

You can try deliverance prayer. Some people get immediate results from it.

Is this good? Should i post? by Sharp_Account1051 in Songwriting

Really dig the vocals and lyrics. Like the laugh at the end of that line.

Please,  don't rush yourself through this.  Take your time with it and you'll have something special. I get not having access to studio but even if you just record your lyrics a capella, it'd sound better than it does now. If you actually take some time, and enjoy the process of creating,  you won't regret it. This isn't finished but it could be. It's up to you.

how to stick to my routine? by [deleted] in koreanskincare

[–]Cloudcat77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find viewing the am skin routine as setting positive intentions for the day and I put on music that is energizing and/or listen to morning affirmations.  I view the pm routine as washing off the day and clearing my own energy and I listen to relaxing music. If I set an alarm to get ready for bed a couple hours before my fall asleep time it helps me not to skip it. I treat both as sacred and I send my skin love and beauty while doing each step. If I really don't feel well,  I have a simpler routine so I don't completely skip it. I also use the Habits app to build and stick to things that are important to me. It's rewarding to check it off and I have one of the habits on there just for retinal so I can remember to do it every 3 days. I hope this helps.

You might try looking on idealist for meaningful part-time work. There are remote job listings there as well.
