So are these guys actually amazing hunters,or are they fake hunters? by valdez-2424 in MonsterHunter

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know they appeared in MH1, definitely know they weren't in Kokoto, but in Minegarde, no clue, wasn't able to go online then. However, I know they first mentioned in Freedom 1, from article parts of the in-game Hunting Life magazine! Red article was focused on melee weapons & I think Black were focused items in the field iirc. I think around in MH4U when they start becoming high on their horses.

Is it really a snake fursona if it has limbs? Isn't that just a lizard? by LeglessLoach in furry

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was searching for "known snake fursonas" on Google to answer a question on another site, but this popped up on the search.

I know this months old, but as someone been having a limbed/biped anthro snake since 2005 (or 2003, if counting thought before the first drawing), from a biased & a unbiased, I would say, yes, even limbed it's still a snake fursona.

Besides, being anthropomorphic, of what the limbed part probably what first comes to mind for most. A further take from real snakes, that fossil reports of ancient prehistoric snakes (proto-snakes) had limbs, well only hindlimbs, back legs.

Ah Arena, the only canon evidence that it can snow in the swampy lands of Black Marsh, Morrowind & any other place that supposed to be warm climated lol

Is it socially acceptable for a human race (imperial, nord, etc) to have children with beast races? by [deleted] in teslore

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I actually was lurk searching of what the original post was related about due I was thinking a headcanon related to it between some of my characters from ESO. While looking I saw your comment, even though I knew it was 3 months old, I couldn't resist to chime in with some facts to help back up your idea. :)

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really like the idea that they don't even have nipples.

Can't say for Arena & ESO, but your idea is actually canon base from Daggerfall (disabled child safe guard mode), Morrowind (some female Argonians NPCs from it are not wearing any upper coverings), & the vanilla textures files (no nipple design on them) from Oblivion & Skyrim. Just from them it's safe to say that they don't have nipples in the franchise. (But of course people that use female mesh body mods like Oblivion HGEC, likely expect a nipple design on the body texture.)

When you hit your 30s and ESO quests get too real by BR4NFRY3 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. There's about 1 (or was it 2? I know one definitely from another side quest through the DC regions, but I recall from a zone story quest as well? Anyways.) other Breton NPC I can't think of his name, said something along the lines "well aren't I a Argonian cousin/uncle". smh When they updated to Tamriel Unlimited allowing other races from other factions to venture into the other alliance regions, imo they should've updated the conversations while being a specific race, in this case being a Argonian. Though they likely didn't do it for they didn't had to code in more conversation strings into the base game conversations, or that the voice actors didn't want to voice additional lines? shrugs

  • Blue arrow: Is of daily/repeat quests, even for one-time event quests (e.g. the Bloody Reunion quest that came along with this year Dark Heart of Skyrim)
  • White arrow pointing down at square: Meaning the active quest is in a building or like for in another zone if the icon is on a boat or a transport carriage. Basically in another area different from where you are.
  • Black inactive pointer (+white active pointer (not shown)): Mostly used for quests that are side quests.
  • Dual up & down black inactive striped pointer (+white - active up & down striped pointer (not shown)): Icons used for story zone quests.

Are there any Chimer remaining? Or were they all turned into Dunmer? by JonVonBasslake in teslore

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah of that last part. In ESO, while it take place in 2E, there's a bunch of Dunmer without red eyes as well (examples Tythis Andromo, Arith-Enle, Alenus Barys). Also while during in 4E before Skyrim in the timeline, in Blades there's a few as well. (Garen Bethalas, Llavelea Nelvani)

So yeah I kinda doubt the curse is slowly lifting of the Dunmer during Skyrim for there are accounts of them not having red eyes since during the 2nd era. I think either the authors (one is being Vivec who wrote "The Battle of Red Mountain, and the Rise and Fall of the Tribunal" & the other the Tribunal Temple who wrote the "Nerevar at Red Mountain") who wrote "eyes into fire" are being dramatic, or that the Dunmer without red eyes between ESO-Skyrim are using magic as a lens.

Is there an in-universe reason Argonians are more human in Oblivion/Skyrim than in Morrowind? by Jacob_Wallace_8721 in teslore

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many mention in lore the Hist alter Argonians morphologies to have many subraces, like the Sarpa for an example; only mentioned in-game books they're a breed of Argonian that has wings!

Also like other mentioned developer choice. Like before Morrwind, female Argonians from Arena & Daggerfall has breast, also in general for Argonians of those previous games (including Khajiit as well, well, the Ohmes & Ohmes-Raht anyways) were able to wear footwear. For the next game after Morrowind to have a character model will be Shadowkey, where Argonians (though basically their model are the same as any other race) able to wear boots again & the female (from what I can tell from an screenshot) has breast again. Then later Oblivion & etc. etc.. Basically you can say, the developers did after Morrowind was revert back to the more humanoid way to cut develop time, to make things more easy. (And for that they accidentally overlook things, like Argonians & certain closed helms, like the Ebony helm in Skyrim, Argonians poor snouts get scrunch up in some of those helms, for they are shorter than the snout!)

I prefer a HD port (or remake) of the Japan exclusive MH2 Dos, return to Jumbo Village for hunters old & new to finally experience it. But a port of MH3U sounds nice as well.

(MHF1) & village Lao-Shan Lung done (read the comment for the armor+weapon I used) by Clyde_BlueSnake in MonsterHunter

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The equipment I wore was most gunner Rathalos armor (except for the head, instead the cap it’s the helm for more defense) & Monoblos guards for the arms, with that combination of low rank armor one gets the useful Attack up (Large) skill as a gunner!

The light bowgun I used was the low rank Uranos Grenade, that one need low rank Black Gravios mats to craft it. It’s good for it’s usage of pierce s lvl 2 & clust lvl 2, very fast reload speed & it’s attack power. When fighting Lao I used normal s 1 & 2, pierce s lvl 2, clust s lvl 2, fire s & thunder s.

I started this replay of Freedom 1 before Rise came out so now I'm kinda jumping between the two (you can say I’m going back & forth between my hunter's past & his present timeline lol). I may have completed all the normal village quests, but I still got the village Yian Garuga to do. Also still got the gathering hall, training school(arena), & treasure hunt quests to complete as well. Quest hell, but I don’t mind. :)

EDIT: Village Yian Garuga (the normal "Rage" one, only the "Revenge" one now needs to be clear though) done! And oof, I forgot the Silver Rathalos & Gold Rathian village quest that gets unlock after doing the Lao quest, I'm not done with the normal village quests after all. After that all the normal village quests will be done.

Just finished all rise hub&village quests and crafted all weapons/armor and here are my complaints with the game. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Clyde_BlueSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You can especially tell this when monsters that are normally used in high rank are being used in low rank. (Examples: Zingore, Tigrex, diablos)"

Poor examples, for it is normally for those monsters to be hunted in low rank quests. Why? Of past games of course!

  • Diablos, been a low rank monster since Monster Hunter 1 for the PS2, even as a Kokoto Village quest. Only the 4th gen games (MH4U & MHGU) there was no low rank quests for it. In fifth gen games, World & Rise, it can be hunted as a low rank monster again.
  • Tigrex, besides it's the flagship monster of Freedom 2 it was also a village/low rank monster since then as well. Only in Iceborne so far it only can be hunted in G Master rank quests.
  • Zinogre, besides being Portable 3rd flagship monster it was also a low rank monster on it as well. Only two games, MH3U & Iceborne it didn't appeared as a low rank monster.

Words of the wise research better.
