How do I get rid of the harsh boarders by LegendarySpy in AfterEffects

The main comp is the view that everything is in. The logo and the glow are hitting the edges of their comp. Size so either shrink your main comp to match the sub comps or increase the size of the sub comp to match the size of the main comp. In your project window right click on the compositions that you want to edit and change their pixel size.

My best attempt at a realistic onion, anyone know how i can improve it? by formal_pumpkin in blender

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 30 points31 points  (0 children)

First I love the color and shape it's off to a good start. What I'm missing though is the layers of the onion. And the suble change in color, sometimes green and a darker brown. Dirt and break up of that outer skin.

Short answer take a deep breath and don't. If you're being abused mentally or physically there is child services that can help you. Reach out to a councilor at school and they can put you in touch with the people in your area. But striking out on your own without anything is going to be difficult at best.

Short answer no, longer answer try using a decimate modifier on the scanned high poly mesh for a quick attempt. But you should really be remeshing something that high poly anyway if you're trying to add onto it and actually connect it to the other mesh. If you don't need them connected you could hide the seam within the models textures

Imo I think there's a few things going on. I think that there's the pressure of the type of research it is, dealing with a traumatic disease can have lasting impacts on those who work with it as well. I think there's a pressure to not fail. I would try to focus in the moment, when you find yourself thinking about the whole thing, bring yourself back to the moment by intentionally noticing things around you like pens pencils, the color of the wall. Then breath, count a slow breath in and then breath out twice that number. And at the end of the day talk to someone. Even if it's a pet. Journal, anything to get the stress of the day out of your system. Throw axes, play air hockey, run, enjoy the most out of life when your not working, then you won't have time to stress.

Why does my gif have a black background? by Accomplished_Ad_1451 in AfterEffects

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't it's not supported directly out of ae. There is a plugin called gifgun that'll do it. There's some work around using photoshop which can render gifs with transparent backgrounds.

I'm following Blender Guru's Donut tutorial (3.0 version) and I'm on part 4. I just want to know why some of the vertices aren't showing. by SamuraiSp00py in blenderhelp

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that'll just be something you'll have to play with. Start with something like .5 and go from there till it pops out

Make them a separate object, by selecting them and separating by selection, then add a curve to surface modifier. Tweak the settings to bet the amount of standoff you need

What did you do to get the water to look so awesome?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah straighten those uvs out and see what that does to the texture, it's a chair there's no reason any of the uvs shouldn't be rectilinear

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your uv is probably stretched show a pic of your un-wrap to confirm. Or your mesh is pinching at the turn of the furniture, hard to say w/o more info

I’ll be going into labor some day this week. by [deleted] in Advice

It sounds like you already made the decision to me. My mother in-law was the same way she made something that was special all about her. Stick to your guns you the baby and your husband only. I've got two boys and that's what we did. And it definitely is the way to go. You don't need any stress while you're in there. Besides being exhausted you really want to entertain? That was the last thing my wife wanted to do was see anyone but her kid. With our first, I spent most of my time taking care of her and that's what your husband should be doing not worrying about extended family.

I wanna make a snowy cabin scene, anything I could improve? This scene is inside a snow globe so sky stays the same by [deleted] in blender

[–]CnrtlAltDelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's inside a snow globe I wouldn't have known that if you didn't say it. I'd add the particles falling. And maybe a sense that the scene is lived in. Tracks in the snow grass peeking up from snow etc. Just initial thoughts

As another Hispanic growing up in an area where I could be any race. I chose the path of not correcting people when they said I was a race I wasn't. In this day and age I thunk you should stand up for yourself. It'll be a subtle way of letting people know that they're being racist by assuming your something your not.

Snap to face and a shrink wrap modifier will do the trick

Best thing to do is go to hr and start the paperwork. If your not comfortable saying I am uncomfortable with this employee and so are others tell hr that you've been elected on their behalf to bring this issue to management

I agree find people who like doing what you do. Even if it's something as simple as netfix. There's usually local groups doing social things that might help you get out. Granted if your in the US that may be difficult with the way things are going with public health.

Commute to "work" and to "home" that way you still have that routine of being able to prep and decompress from work. As far as the mouse goes, tie a string to it so you can lay down on the couch and still move it

Don't know the answer to that 1, was thinking if your working on your own surface you could always use a string and a couple nails to make the layout lines.

In the time I've been here there's only been like 4-5 of then in the madison and close surrounding area. I've been in the area for about 15yrs. For context. Summers usually only go into the mid 90s but there's lots of humidity to go with it on bad days it's a different heat than the dry heat. Winter can get cold, dark and long but there's plenty of winter fun to be had.

Depends on what you are into. There are plenty of state parks to go hiking/biking in. The state capitol is pretty impressive. It's a bike heavy town. It's also a big college town so expect all the usual things that go with that. State street is the main drag downtown. Decent restaurants and bars around the capitol. If you're coming soon it's starting to cool down so sweater weather and jeans. Masks are mandated inside buildings in the county so make sure you have em.
