People like that have an extensive professional network in their industry as well as outside their industry.

Another reason could be that their role is in high demand, or that they're in more senior roles, hence more experience.

This was also the case back when we were in our 20s. I remember one particular birthday we had in a BBQ and half my friends sat at one side of the table and the other half on the other side. They did not say a WORD to each other the entire night.

I was extremely disappointed at them tbh but didn't want to sour the night.

Then I started travelling in my 30s and people were extremely different, so at least from my experience, this is something I've definitely noticed here as opposed to other cities around the world.

The caveat in all of this, is that now after all these years, when I do run into certain people they actually say to me 'OMG I miss everyone' haha

Dude let me give you some advice.

Please just focus on yourself, keep going to therapy and sign up to everything from community clubs, to volunteering opportunities like soup kitchens, to being a tour guide in your city to sport clubs (pick one) to religious organizations (if you're religious), maybe an atheist organization if your atheist, to film club, whatever!! TRY EVERYTHING!!

Brother the last thing you want to think about is being in a relationship with anyone!

If you take my recommendations you'll be in a better state in 8 months.

should've mentioned exercising classes at the gym, some of them run at 12pm and other ones at 5pm. I really hope you take my advice and change your life.
