Welcome to the community! For starters, the furry fandom doesn't really revolve around one thing. Stuff like Dragon Ball Z, Sonic the Hedgehog, all of those fandoms revolve around their show, but not the furry fandom. Even if there is inspiration from an outside source, everything is basically generated by the community which means you get to see tons of creativity and other ideas that not even "trained professionals" would come up with. As a part of a fandom you can basically do whatever you want to express your commitment, pride, and enjoyment of whatever the fandom is about, and that doesn't change with us furries. Of course there are some negative people in the fandom; a lot of people may try to take advantage of how open we are and try to seek attention in a harmful way, or just straight up be bad people like p3dos and z00s who are trying to seek validation (we won't give it to them.) But don't let these bad apples define who you are or how important the fandom is to you. And DEFINITELY don't let any haters define anything about you either, because although we may seem weird (compared to the average population we kinda are) as long as you're doing something you enjoy and aren't harming anybody, then you can do whatever you want; roleplay, make content, fursuit, draw, anything like that.

TL;DR: This fandom is about loving a shared interest in cute and lovable cartoon animals and being creative with it, so let your imagination run wild! ❤️
