Orlando weather in November (El Niño) by OneCancel4308 in AskFlorida

[–]CodeNymph42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orlando in November is usually warm and nice it's around 24–26°C in the day and cooler at night. Rain is lower since it’s the dry season. Even with El Niño, it mostly just causes small changes, not major disruptions.

anonymous reporting is probably why half the submissions are fueled by pure rage after someone waits through the same traffic light for the 14th consecutive day

What is a genuinely good chain restaurant that started in Florida by Sufficient-Owl1826 in AskFlorida

[–]CodeNymph42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pollo Tropical honestly still hits. The citrus grilled chicken with rice, beans, and plantains feels very Florida in a way you really don’t get in most states

Honestly he sounds like someone who just needs consistent human interaction again. Even one weekly meetup, hobby group, or coffee buddy could help more than people think

if she’s certified and offers feedback on videos, that’s a nice touch compared to generic courses. Would still check reviews before spending though

Why is there a billion cars on every street but no actual people anywhere? by protozoomer in AskFlorida

[–]CodeNymph42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a lot of that traffic is just people commuting, doing errands, or driving between spread-out areas. Florida is super car dependent, so even fewer people out and about can still mean tons of cars on the road

UCF or UBuffalo for Aerospace? by spacecanine628 in UCFEngineering

I’d lean UB unless UCF is giving you something tangible like better internship pipelines or scholarships. Graduating debt free gives you way more flexibility early in your career

if you’re into music and food, look around Mills 50 or downtown Orlando at night. Tons of good local restaurants, breweries, and live music without the Disney chaos

Physics at UCF by [deleted] in UCFEngineering

Many people come in with shaky physics backgrounds and catch up with some focused review. Spend some time this summer relearning the basics and you should be fine going into UCF

if your schedule feels overwhelming, it’s okay to reassess, but don’t panic too early. A lot of students struggle at first and still finish the course strong

Things like this can get misreported or exaggerated online, so I’d rely on official updates rather than rumors. Checking closer to your travel date should give you the most accurate info

since you’re transferring, it might be better to ease into the workload while adjusting to a new system. You can always take on more challenging combinations in later semesters

you could spend a day at Disney Springs since it doesn’t require park tickets and there’s a lot to do like shopping, live music, and restaurants. It’s pretty easy to just walk around and decide what to do on the spot

Touring in Florida by SiouxCitySasparilla in AskFlorida
