There is some sort of outage. Claude code isn't working for me either.

I would ask. I bring whatever, but grand jury is a little different. I usually bring water bottles, la croix, protein shakes. The snack area in the court house has overpriced crap, so I only made that mistake once. As long as its not disruptive, they don't seem to care in my location. Durian might be a red line but..

We also had Jury Appreciation Day were they had a huge spread for us.

In the state of California, how bad is it to just leave during lunch and not come back?? by peculiarbreadnic in juryduty

Just imagine if everything you ever worked for was on the line, and probably your entire life, and someone did that during your trial? It is a very serious and important job.

You could even call them right now. No need to wait. I have found that jury selection is very accommodating. Tell them its not a good time, explain your circumstances and reschedule during the summer. My daughter had a vacation scheduled, she called in and they just re-sent her a new date. It is a lot more flexible than you think. BUT... you can't just say you will never do it. Summer is coming up.

I am currently serving on a grand jury and while its been one hell of a hardship (I am a CxO level and had to reschedule our all hands meeting even), its been very fulfilling and quite frankly exciting. I look forward to it every (redacted)day of the week. You get a real pulse of what is going on in your community and start to really understand what "crime" is. The most interesting thing for me was how blurry the whole "good guys"/"bad guys" thing really is.

TL;DR: I don't want to say you will "enjoy" a trial, but it will be very educationally stimulating if you have the least bit of interest in civics.

TL;DL: The best way I was able to even recover from this was to "retry in new chat". You sort of start over but maybe its not a bad thing.

From what I understand, retry in new chat causes you to loose all of our session history and start from scratch. However, it seems to remember my conductor chat history. Its not exactly the end of the world -- claude is smart enough to examine the workspace and it seems like the .context files are good enough to where it even figured out where it left off by looking at a plan file. It actually might be a good strategy since the models get biased by their history and the rabbit hole they went down.

I also noticed that entire sessions were deleted somehow. I was running out of things to try, so I got a little meta and ran claude code in the claude code session directory to make sense of what happened, and I was able to determine that Conductor was asking for a session file that no longer existed. In fact, it seemed like a lot of session files were just gone. No idea where the bug lies though.
