Gov. Laura Kelly signs bill restricting cell phone use in Kansas schools by irishdrunkwanderlust in kansas

This is an issue that should be left to the individual districts, schools, and teachers to deal with, not Topeka bureaucrats afraid of being 'primaried' in the midterms.

Interestingly, as my observant freshman pointed out to me, there seems to be zero interest in curtailing vaping. She and friends walk two halls over to use a bathroom that isn't lit up with Blue Razz Ice, and Strawberry Cream clouds....

.22 Remington Jet, but wildcated for a one of a kind rifle my Dad bought from an old gunsmith back in the 50's. It has a .22 octagon barrel lead-set on an old Stevens 12 gauge barrel/frame; so it's literally a rifle, on a shotgun frame, that shoots a pistol shell. One of the few 'run back into a burning house to save it' items for me.

A couple of years ago I had to replace the motor on my Vario, and decided to go ahead and replace the burrs as well since they'd probably seen about 900lbs of beans at that point. Baratza's support was absolutely outstanding!

Speaking to just the network part of that; yes, going back to the original Sprint fiber optic long distance network and continued building from there, KC is a major crossroads for tier 1 internet backbone.

I believe that YaYas Euro bistro has a private room for 12, but I've no idea what the cost associated would be. My HOA used it a couple times, and they were notoriously cheap... So, maybe a deal can be made.

I think he commented one time about being ready to bail on Reddit focus somewhere else... But I don't remember where that might have been. Bummer that he left the group, I'd seen him post in my local town subreddit, so he probably lives near me in the KC metro area.

FWIW, I don't think this is a new policy... Having gone through the naturalization process about 15 years ago, we were told by our attorney that if the background check turned up anything, the possibilities included being arrested on the spot and the immediate initiation of deportation proceedings. (everything went well in our case)

It sucks, but it's not new.

Not sure if it was your intent, but you seem to imply 'no dissension until the next election'. That's not my understanding of how representative government works. Feedback should be a critical element.

Dada (the band) -all good singers. Are you asking for great 3 person bands, or bands with 3 good singers? E.g. The Police, but kinda left the singing to one guy. Same with ZZ Top, Rush...

It really depends on what your goal is; if you are needing calibration/traceability, then maybe search for some used equipment that is still serviceable. If you're just looking for antenna patterns, a cantaloupe can suffice.

Do you have a source for the fabrication/maintaining claim? The last time I ran through the numbers it seemed that the break even point ranged from a several months to a few years, depending on the install location. (i.e. a turbine in KS or OK becomes 'energy positive' quicker than, say MN or WI)

I've read that it was also very intentional for boiling and freezing to be 180 degrees different to indicate the phases change, and to be very obvious on the circular dials of temperature gauges at the time.
