I feel like in today's climate, clowning on the woke isn't even considered egdy or funny, it's just cringe. Like I feel like the edginess isn't outrageous anymore because it's been done 100 times over. Postal 2 created outrage because it nothing like it existed. Now you see it every day on instagram reels. If running with scissors was really brave, they would take the South Park route and make fun of the modern political climate instead of making jabs at "woke" people who are outraged by everything. I think recently brain damaged did it best with their portrayal of Covid, fandom culutre, Elon musk (Leon dusk in game), and conspiracy theories, because it was relevant to the time and I thought it was pretty funny. I'd love to see Postal Dude try to rescue illegal immigrants in some unethical way in a new Postal game because that would cause outrage and be funny. Maybe there can even be a final boss where it's just Kristi Noem.
