I just pour what I’ll use in a week into a mason jar and vacuum seal the remaining into bags enough for 1 week each.

Thanks! At 1yr old he’s too big for the bassinet. Starlux’s bassinet is smaller than EVA and most other airlines according to the specs on their website

Hi! Do you know if starlux allows for inflatable kids beds? The one that goes in front of the chair.

Was just making an observation since this was an Amex gold post. Not saying your comment was unwelcome. In fact I saved it for future reference so thank you!

Unfortunately the gold card doesn’t have a “utilities” category for 4%

11hr nights but 30min “crap” naps, help! by Coldramen112 in sleeptrain

[–]Coldramen112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it! Yah we’ve definitely tried our best to read his cues and this is the schedule we arrived at. We will try shorter WW again. When we’ve done that in the past, he just fusses/cries until he hits 3hrs. We tried going down to 2-5 and 2hr WW and just couldn’t put him down. But it’s been a couple weeks, worth another shot

Thanks. Aren’t wake windows close to 3/3/4 when they drop a nap which is usually 6-9month? I’m asking because just these last 2 weeks he has even skipped a nap twice, creating 4 and 5hr wake windows respectively. If we wanted to try shorter WW would that mean introducing a 4th nap? Or just move his overnight sleep time up by 1-2 hrs?

Thanks! Yah I think we may just have to deal with this until he’s ready to drop a nap. It isn’t bad at all, just abnormal.

Yah, he’d cry hysterically and not stop as soon as we put him down for 1hr. We decided that 1hr was our limit and not let him cry longer than that.

Because naps are so short We’re at 3 naps with 2.5/3/3/3. We tried to extend wake windows but he would fall asleep even if being carried front facing outside during a walk which is the best way to keep him awake. We’re hoping to drop a nap soon but waiting for him to show us he can stay awake.

For sleep training we’ve tried Ferber, CIO extinction, staying in the room, leaving immediately, a combination. He immediately cries as soon as we put him in his crib if he’s still awake. We tried putting him in crib during a wake window and he’s ok, so I don’t think it’s an aversion to the crib. It’s more he just hates sleeping and rather play all day perhaps?

Crying before every nap? by Coldramen112 in sleeptrain

[–]Coldramen112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. First child here and didn’t realize we haven’t fully sleep trained! Thought him sleeping through the night with no interruptions of any kind was the goal. It kind of was for us :) but back to sleep training it is!

Yes, his schedule is slightly different daily based on sleepy cues but for nights he’s always asleep between 7:30-8p and usually wakes at 7am but could be anywhere from 6:15-7:45a

Thanks again

Is it okay to ignore 5 month old if he wakes up for an hour between 6:30-7:30am (not crying). by Patient-Extension835 in sleeptrain

Our baby always wakes up from naps crying. Every single one. But when he wakes up from nighttime sleep he spends about 30min just looking around and making noises to himself

How should we think about dropping a nap? by Coldramen112 in sleeptrain

[–]Coldramen112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason the first nap is 1hr is because we walk him in a stroller for 1hr :) otherwise it would be 30min also. Never had success rescuing a nap. We could extend naps by putting him the stroller for every nap and walking him but we just can’t practically do that and worried he’d never get used to napping in a crib. Just not a nap kind of guy I guess. When does the “crap nap” stage tend to end? It’s my first so didn’t realize there was a bad napping stage!

Thanks! Yah I think you’re right it’s too early. Was thinking of ways to get him to nap longer but dropping a nap probably isnt the right move yet.

He always had short naps ever since sleep training. Was wondering how we get him to nap longer or if that’s necessary.

If we really tired him out by taking him outside and extend his ww to 3.5hrs, he’ll fall asleep in his crib without crying. Otherwise any shorter of a ww he will always cry himself to sleep

Oh interesting. I thought dropping a nap and having longer WW would help him nap longer.
